I can't copy and paste any quotes because the owner of the website disallows it. Basically this guy stole a stove and for some odd reason the owner had installed a tracking device on it. They tracked him down and found that he had another stolen stove too.
I'm glad they caught him and the guy gets his stove back, but seriously who installs tracking devices on their kitchen appliances??
Same reason why people put trackers on bikes and cars, everything has a price.

I get it, I just thought it was strange. I bet no one ever asks him why again, though.
Who the hell steals a stove?
Sometimes when I lose my GPS locators I use a backup GPS locator I attached to the original GPS locator to find them.

Stealing an appliance like that would be very difficult, GPS or not.
-article portion removed-
You can copy and paste a small portion from the article from the page source. It's really only a protection against computer-illiterates, or just lazy people.

Hm, that is true. I'll remove the copied text.

so
Small GPS trackers are cheap to get and I don't see any reason not to put one on a stove or a tv or a computer. It's an expensive thing to replace and a £10 GPS tracker can save you £1,000~ for when the insurance companies don't pay out.
Yeah I could easily use the page editor in chrome to remove the block, but I respect his wishes no matter how bad they are.

I agree, it's just not something people usually do.
Have you guys seen the site? Holy shit what an horrendous looking thing.
I have contacted him on facebook several times about the layout and the stupid blocks, but hey it's his website he can do what he wishes with it. He does create a lot of original content though, he always goes to teh scenes for pictures
Turn off page styling. They are pulling the same thing Flickr does and there's a transparent layer over the text.

It doesn't matter what they say.
A stove seems... a bit unpractical of a thing to steal.
Remind me of when me and a bunch of my dormmates are chilling out in our common room when some school janitor or some such comes in. We talked for a bit, really chill dude, funny guy and all that. Then he says he needs to get to work.
Grabs a handtruck, wheels it into our kitchen, takes our stove, and leaves...
We were kind a fucking pissed. I mean, he was a cool dude... but that was our stove, man.
He probably couldn't sell those stoves because they were too hot
