When I had Vista, it recognized my Xbox as a Media Extender and I could play my shit on my xbox, but in Win7, it doesn't work
hALp pL0x?
Have you remembered to set up Media center on Windows 7 before you tried connecting the xbox?
you need to go into windows media player and set up sharing and stuff then it will play movies, music and stuff
That's just network sharing. Media Center Extender is a different thing.
Although you probably don't need it unless you're going to stream TV to your Xbox or something.
If you wanna stream stuff from your Computer to your Xbox you need to setup Windows Media Center

Yes, I'm not fucking retarded
What I mean is I get an error in WMC saying i can't connect the extender after I enter the 8 digit code, but when I did the same steps in vista, it worked, so why doesn't it with Win7?
Dunno. Check Microsoft help and support they're probably better at troubleshooting this kinda shit. Heck, there's probably a kb article on your problem specifically.
