Not exactly a new video, but not many people have seen it, so I thought I'd post it here. It's a rather good rundown of Evolution.
Too complex for some of the people it is targeted at. Trust me on this, not all religious people are idiots but I'll be damned if many people could sit through his monotonous tone and quickly digest the terminology he uses. Like an atheist attending a sermon; such words would be lost on them and cause further alienation.
This is a great video, but unfortunately to turn the heads of fanatic believers/blind followers, you have to snap their neck.
Yeah i wouldn't have thought the terminology was that complex. Then again i do evolutionary biology at uni so i'm probably just used to it. I don't bother with arguing evolution anymore, if i come across someone who doesn't believe it i just assume they're retarded. Too much evidence to deny it.
I can't wait for the next generation of our human race!
goddamn i sat through all of that and that guy has about as much vocal talant as a rhinopuss's slimy crackhole ..smart..but boring
Great vid. Explains it perfectly. :)
I was wrong about what I knew about evolution, but now I know even more about it. Thanks for posting this.
I can't wait for the next generation of our human race!
Oh boy, two heads!
I have a crockaduck in my back yard, and my friend has a rhinopuss.
I have a crockaduck in my back yard, and my friend has a rhinopuss.
rhinopussy?
The banana thing was really interesting.
I can't wait to see what the fanatic believers and blind followers say next
I knew of a dog breeder who didn't believe in evolution. Not sure what to make of that.
more accurate
What the fuck bro just what the fuck.
So yellow bananas have only been around for a couple hundred years, and were the result of a random plantation having a mutated crop? That's crazy to think about.
Someone was asking in the chat "How do the genes get passed down"... I wanted to slap something.

This video, to people who believe in evolution all this seems common knowledge, but to people who don't believe evolution, this will fall on deaf ears. All this stuff is fairly obvious and some of it is pretty good info, its just presented in a manor that doesn't really target an effective audience. If anything this could be educational to kids, but its far too boring to maintain their attention. Honestly though, I think the way your brain works determines what you ultimately believe in. Over time you should be exposed to all views on how life and everything came to be and through that time your brain will automatically cohere to what makes the most sense and what you feel most at home with. Personally, I've went from being moderately religious from a young age where I would rationalize everything in terms of God, Jesus, and the Bible but I always kept an open mind, never closed the case. Eventually I came to understand evolution, phyiscs, ect and it all made sense to me. I began to compare it to my knowledge of religion as I learned and started to mitigate towards science than religion. While I still believe in God, the specifics that the bible specify as well as its history I find questionable.
Science is amazing. Great video here, easy to understand and very informative for its targeted audience.
Already understood evolution, but learned some good verbalisations of my own thoughts. I also like how 'modern dessert banana' uses the Modern warfare font. :v:
Great video, I think it works perfectly for its targeted audience, which would be people confused about evolution in opposition to their beliefs. You could never make a video that proves evolution to died in the wool creationists, but even people who believe in evolution would find this interesting and informative. That way you will be ready with a logical and reasonable argument when someone tells you evolution never happened.
I knew about the banana thing oddly from business studies back in College (not sure why we were talking about bananas.) I really liked the video though it was explained extremely well. The visual aids were also a nice touch.
Why can't people meet in the middle, like a "god" created the world and evolution took hold. Until further evidence comes along just accept the theory and fit your beliefs around it. Evolve your thinking?
Why can't people meet in the middle, like a "god" created the world and evolution took hold
Because it's not true.
This was linked from a comment of the video. I find it pretty interesting.
I never knew that banana's where red and green before, and looked like the one he posted.
Really simple and well explained. It make the theory of evolution more credible than it already is.
