Triarii's music is quite bombastic/war-themed:

It's good music even if it does reek of Nazi sympathies.
Gaming while listening to music is silly. Would you go in the middle of war with iPod earphones jammed in? You can't hear where people are and who's shooting. Music is good gamingwise maybe in like a montage or some shit (which are gay anyways imo) but ingame nothing beats the satisfaction of the sound of bullets and the impact of them hitting flesh. That's the whole fun of shooting people in a video game.

I don't feel that music outside of a game is necessary to play it along to, usually whatever's in-game does it for me. Or, if there's no music, it adds a sense of realism.
That being said, some AC/DC always helps you feel like you can kick some serious ass.
I loved playing Battlefield Vietnam whilst listening to Guns N' Roses. Specifically Greatest Hits.
Quake 2's soundtrack is pretty pumping.
Highway to the danger zone while flying or Don't stop me now.
The Grateful Dead and Battlefield 3. Do it, seriously one of the greatest things ever.

perfect for capture the flag type games, or games with an objective u kno what i mean
A lot of Rage Against The Machine for me. I don't listen to music while I play videogames that often though, I'd rather hear gunfire and explosions when playing shooters.
Isn't combat all about keeping your cool? So, isn't music that is ''pumping'' the opposite of what you want?
You're correct. But at the same time, combat is pure adrenaline mixed with fear, anger, and excitement. I guess music can give you those feelings. But what you're feeling inside isn't necessarily how you're reacting. If you've been in combat, you feel like you're holding onto your sanity by the end of your fingertips. You don't have time to worry about how you feel so you just do what you were trained to do - keep cool. Inside you're pissing your pants and scared shitless.
People probably play videogames and listen to music for the same reason a basketball team warms up to music. That, go get 'em and go hard mentality and attitude.

Don't listen to this.
Music thrills you and moreso during gaming at times depending on the style.
Cyanide- by Metallica
(I haven't actually used this one for an FPS per se, but I have used it with Gears of War and it works amazingly)

Try some Smashing Pumpkins. I recommend their third album, "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness".
Corny name, but with some awesome songs.
Smashing Pumpkins are fucking great. Amazing memories back in the 90's; music being one of 'em.
Some of Metallica's faster, more straight forward songs. Battery, Seek & Destroy, and Blackened are a few favorites.
Also, Death - Zombie Ritual, Slayer - Raining Blood, Meshuggah - Bleed
