Is this going to be another hitman where you need to be online to play singleplayer?
Fair enough if you wanna add an online element. Don't feel like you have to with how well the witcher 3 did, but if it's done well, sure. Just hope it aint tacked on.

this plus the former employees speaking out? not good signs in my opinion
Lootboxes incoming
I fully trust CDProjekt with this game. Sure, it could bite me in the ass, but the last 3 games they have made have all been my favorites. Plus I'm itchin for a good cyberpunk game.
I hope they mean co-op. I want to walk around neon lit rain soaked streets with my homies shooting cyborgs left and right.
You don't need 'online elements' to secure long-term success. Case in point, I'm still playing Fallout 4. It's alt tabbed as I type this and I've got north of 1,700 hours logged in it. Bethesda made a good Fallout game and, while it has flaws, I still enjoy it enough to keep playing it, keep modding it to within an inch of its life, keep dealing with the inevitable clusterfuck that comes from forcing the game to run with >240 plugins loaded. Just make a good game and, online elements or not, you'll get your success. It isn't that hard. If the players want co-op, fair enough, give 'em co-op. But if the players are happy with a totally offline experience then give them that.
