• Question on CPU upgrade

I am intending to upgrade from my current i3 540 to an i5 3570. I am just wondering will I notice much of a difference in games etc with this upgrade? My current computer specs are Gigabyte Z77-DS3h (I have no put this in yet as my i3 has a different socket so I have to wait for my new cpu) GTX 660ti 4gb ram Windows 7 64 bit 600W corsair bronze So yeah my main question is will this be worth the upgrade and will I notice much difference? Or is there any other CPUs that someone can recommend, I have about £160 to spend on this. I want to start moving towards next gen games and my computer doesn't really handle them atm, my cpu seems to show about 90%+ usage in task manager when running the games and I decided it's probably time for a motherboard upgrade (Current one in pc now is one that came in a pre-built computer) and a cpu upgrade, I already have a motherboard bought so I just need to think about a new cpu. Any replies to this would be great, thanks.
Some more Ram wouldnt hurt either. And if you upgrade I would get a 3570K So you can overclock and stretch the performance even further. (Well actually I would get a z87 mobo and a 4670K) But thats up to your budget. The 3570K is very solid.
Going from a dual core with HT to a quad 2 generations newer is going to net you some good performance gains.
If you're ok with overclocking I would go with the i5 3570k to boost some future performance. Also you should see some performance improvements as your going from a dual core to a quad. I think overall you'll be happy with you upgrade.
