There's so much interesting subject matter to explore in World War 1.
I am sure it's a decent movie, but it's not for me. It feels wrong to watch a movie about a relationship between a human and an animal after finding out what furries are.

As long as the war isn't relegated to like the last 30 minutes of the film and/or there's a lot of fighting then it'll be ok. Also its Steven Spielberg.
Get rid of the horse and it'd be a solid movie, if I were a betting man I'd say this is going to be just like Avatar.
Just make a film about the first World War and drop the god damn horse story, I just really cannot stand films about animals.
You just know that the horse will die at the end or something like that.
I have no complaint that the movie is about a boy and his horse. If done well, a story like that can be very engaging. Think of movies like [I]Black Beauty[/I], [I]The Black Stallion[/I], and [I]Hidalgo[/I]. And how about when Artax died in [I]The Never Ending Story[/I]? This isn't a war movie, it's only using the war as a set piece. If you want a World War I movie, there are others.

Actually, I've had to see a few horses be put down, and it really isnt pretty. Very violent, to say the least

There's way too many WW2 movies honestly. There's barely any movies covering WW1. Kind of odd considering WW1 had much more in terms of warfare, since gas wasn't banned then.

hahaha in a film about a war where millions of people died, you're not going to watch it because it contains some horses being killed (maybe).
