This is promising, and you know Spielberg is good at war movies, so expect his best.
Looks very nice, looking forward to watch it. Though I'm more interested in World War 2 rather than World War 1, just saying.
Knowing Spielberg this movie will be about war and horses.
Sound like another descent feel good movie or something.
I'd probably watch it if there wasn't any horse death. Other than that, it looks like a pretty beautiful movie!
It looks terrible. [editline]1st July 2011[/editline] Like something a group of crying women would watch.
Was expecting the kid to shout "war horse i love you!" as it ran fucking everywhere!
was expecting a movie about a war hero that was native american or something instead it was an actual fucking horse wtf
Looks very nice, looking forward to watch it. Though I'm more interested in World War 2 rather than World War 1, just saying.
I think there needs to be more movies based in World War 1.
I think there needs to be more movies based in World War 1.
There's so much interesting subject matter to explore in World War 1.
I am sure it's a decent movie, but it's not for me. It feels wrong to watch a movie about a relationship between a human and an animal after finding out what furries are.
It looks terrible. [editline]1st July 2011[/editline] Like something a group of crying women would watch.
Pretty much this
The horse will die at the end.
It looks terrible. [editline]1st July 2011[/editline] Like something a group of crying women would watch.
As long as the war isn't relegated to like the last 30 minutes of the film and/or there's a lot of fighting then it'll be ok. Also its Steven Spielberg.
Get rid of the horse and it'd be a solid movie, if I were a betting man I'd say this is going to be just like Avatar.
Just make a film about the first World War and drop the god damn horse story, I just really cannot stand films about animals. You just know that the horse will die at the end or something like that.
I have no complaint that the movie is about a boy and his horse. If done well, a story like that can be very engaging. Think of movies like Black Beauty, The Black Stallion, and Hidalgo. And how about when Artax died in The Never Ending Story? This isn't a war movie, it's only using the war as a set piece. If you want a World War I movie, there are others.
The horse will die at the end.
First thing I thought, as soon as I saw the trailer I went "Fuck that, the horse has gotta die at the end."
didn't Spielberg just do a lot of work on Super 8? Must have a really packed schedule to have two big films come out in such a short time span.
I've seen the actual play being performed and... yeah the relationship between Joey and the kid is a bit ott sometimes, but it's actually pretty fucking tragic what happens.
Can you tell me what happens? Use spoiler tags or send me a message.
Let me guess, the horse dies in the famous last cavalry charge of World War 1 where machine guns mow them all down?
World War 1 movies are rare nowadays
I was expecting a movie about one of the four riders of the apocalypse
An animal as the main character? Does it talk or what? Looks lame.
Looks very nice, looking forward to watch it. Though I'm more interested in World War 2 rather than World War 1, just saying.
Not enough good WW1 movies I think.
I'd probably watch it if there wasn't any horse death. Other than that, it looks like a pretty beautiful movie!
Horse death? What are you? In PETA?
Not enough good WW1 movies I think. Horse death? What are you? In PETA?
Actually, I've had to see a few horses be put down, and it really isnt pretty. Very violent, to say the least
Looks very nice, looking forward to watch it. Though I'm more interested in World War 2 rather than World War 1, just saying.
There's way too many WW2 movies honestly. There's barely any movies covering WW1. Kind of odd considering WW1 had much more in terms of warfare, since gas wasn't banned then.
Not enough good WW1 movies I think. Horse death? What are you? In PETA?
Nope, I just love all animals.
I'd probably watch it if there wasn't any horse death. Other than that, it looks like a pretty beautiful movie!
hahaha in a film about a war where millions of people died, you're not going to watch it because it contains some horses being killed (maybe).
I was expecting a movie about one of the four riders of the apocalypse
indeed it totally needs to be done!
