why not upload it to bandcamp? it's the best place for uploading full albums and EPs, it makes it much easier to manage everything, and i prefer to listen to albums on my computer instead of through my browser anyway, i'll listen to it and post feedback later

I've got a few friends who are talented artists but they're busy with their own projects :/. Anyway, I forgot to add the dl link to the album itself lmao: http://files.1337upload.net/Vivid_Dark-5bd56d.zip [editline]7th July 2014[/editline] You lot probably have heard most of these anyway since I post here for feedback and stuff but w/e
You can always head over to Creationism Corner, there's plenty of talented artists over there who I'm sure would love to help you with album art for not too much money. :)

opinions time first off all, i'll start with the album art, which is really bad. i understand it's not really proper or seriously made but you should still put more effort into album art. the production is very good, as expected from when i heard collision course on the collab album and i don't have any complaints about the mixing. overall the atmosphere is fantastic, very dark and unnerving without being unappealing. Vivid Dark starts the album off with a sort of spooky soft organ-like melody, really going all over the place with dissonant chords and atonal notes, which i really like it doesn't really progress anywhere though and never really builds up or changes dynamically, so it feels more like an interlude than a proper song definitely not a bad interlude at that, but unfulfilling on it's own collision course i've already wrote about in the collab album thread and my opinion still stands, though the transition from the title track was extremely janky and didn't sound good at all fantastic atmosphere on this track, everything sounds extremely crispy and good, no complaints other than the ending the ending felt like it wasn't really completely thought out, i understand it's purpose as a knot to tie the whole song together and give conclusion to the atmospheric improv-like section, but it isn't nearly long enough to do that properly Ritual i've given feedback on before in the creative music thread and don't really have much to add to that it has a similar dark free-jazz feel to it that collision course has while still sounding very different, which makes it an excellent continuation, but the transition between them (or lack thereof) once again is very lacking and doesn't carry the atmosphere over properly the horns sound very fake, though that might be purposeful to carry a certain feel for the song, so it doesn't really sound that out of place, but i think the song would still sound better with real horns Supernova finishes off the EP with a dark ambient twist to the earlier nu-jazz songs the bell-like sounds are very good and build atmosphere fantastically, it really feels like a sort of a black hole in a way, with some subtle noise fading up and down to give a sort of empty windy sound feels like an astronaut is walking through an empty, broken down space station on mars or something, very horror-like atmospheric music then the bells start playing a proper melody towards the end, really tying off the earlier build up fantastically without losing the haunting feel still though, the song feels a bit out of place compared to the earlier nu-jazz tracks. this could definitely be fixed with a proper transition, but alas, this song doesn't have one either overall, the songs are fantastic, the production is great, the mixing very good, but you need to work on your album dynamics and consistency at the moment it feels like this EP is just a collection of songs rather than a proper, well-tied atmospheric EP that the songs would fit perfectly for it's a shame really, if the EP sounded more consistent with better transitions, i would go as far as to say that this is a brilliant EP, it's got the sound, songwriting, mixing and production that i'd expect from a professional artist i'd definitely love to hear more of this style as a full album with better inter-song atmosphere and consistency, because i'm not lying when i say that the songs are fantastic
Thank you very much hakita! I appreciate that you like the tracks themselves and it warms my heart. You're right about the song consistency thing, I was planning an album at first, but these tracks I were making didn't have a proper connection to each other and soon enough I realized I didn't actually know what the heck I'm doing, so this actually is more like a collection of tracks than a proper musical album (which I'd like to make in the future mind you). The "album art" is just a conceptual picture I slammed on the soundcloud page.. I don't actually have any kind of cover for this thing so I might just remove the pic alltogether.
