Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu appealed to American legislators to help Israel stave off what is likely to be a concerted global push to haul the country’s military and political leaders to international courts for alleged war crimes committed in Gaza, The New York Post reported on Thursday. According to the Post, during a meeting on Wednesday with members of Congress who are visiting Israel as guests of AIPAC, Netanyahu urged the American representatives to summon their powers in assisting Israeli officials who wish to avoid trial by the International Criminal Court in The Hague. The congressional delegation includes Rep. Steve Israel (D – NY), who heard the latest from the Israeli premier regarding the tenuous Gaza cease-fire as well as Jerusalem’s strained relations with the Obama administration. “The prime minister asked us to work together to ensure that this strategy of going to the ICC does not succeed,” Israel told The New York Post. Netanyahu “wants the US to use all the tools that we have at our disposal to, number one, make sure the world knows that war crimes were not committed by Israel, they were committed by Hamas. And that Israel should not be held to a double standard,” the congressman said.
http://www.jpost.com/Operation-Protective-Edge/Help-Israel-avoid-war-crimes-charges-Netanyahu-urges-US-lawmakers-370352
Fuck off and lie in the bed you've made, Netanyahu. :v:
nah you're alright pal
i just had a vision. Netanyahu appeared as some sort of black spider with bad energy, walking around on his web like the shit he is (don't worry I don't believe all spiders are evil)
And they don't even seek support in trial, they literally want to avoid justice, to not stand in front of the trial at all. Doesn't sound like clean conscience to me.
Bring this guy to The Hague already.
How about this: No.

In doing so, they keep the bugs away from you, and also keep the populations in check so they don't breed into fuck-huge swarms. Spiders may be a bit creepy, but they're pretty damn helpful and beneficial if you look past that. Netanyahu doesn't provide anything remotely as helpful as that. Even spiders are better than Netanyahu.
Bring this guy to The Hague already.
A firing squad would do just fine, leave The Hague for the rest of the officials.
Israel always asking for sympathy.
Hah, no. Accept the the consequences for what you did, jackass.
Bibi is acting like a baby.
There's a reason the term "yahoo" is synonymous with "idiot" or "nutjob" in the English language.
The congressional delegation includes Rep. Steve Israel (D – NY),
Hmm. Well he sure wears his heart on his sleeve...

Hamas will likely try to prevent Palestine from joining the ICC because it would allow their leaders to be prosecuted too http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/08/05/us-mideast-gaza-icc-idUSKBN0G50W920140805
Netanyahu is an invertebrate pig and should only be recognized and treated as such. I can't believe people like this exist and have power over others.

If an Israeli official were indicted by the ICC they'd be effectively barred from setting foot in any state party to the Rome Statue, including the entire European Union and almost the entire European continent. That along with the obvious huge symbolic impact would strike a fairly significant blow to Israel
Netanyahu is an invertebrate pig and should only be recognized and treated as such. I can't believe people like this exist and have power over others.
Well that's how you usually get in to power.

After all, what would they have to lose? Strongly worded letters from the UN don't scare them, and no country is going to fight another civilized country. We've reached a point in international relations that countries have realized that you really don't have to give a flying fuck about other countries opinions, because they're fairly well powerless to stop them.
I don't think its people want Israel to become a pariah state.
Although one senior official in the ministry recommended that Israel not cooperate with the commission, as there is little chance Israel would get a fair hearing from the blatantly anti-Israel UNHRC, no final decision has been made, and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman has yet to weigh in.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
