I'm interested in the Earforce DSS by Turtle Beach. It's a small device capable of processing digital audio, which is then outputted as virtual surround for stereo headphones. Does anyone perhaps possess it? What are your recommendations? I'm mainly concerned about latency and compatibility with other technologies than Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro Logic 2.
Virtual surround is a scam. Get a good stereo headset.
Virtual surround is a scam. Get a good stereo headset.
It's just a DAC, it's a nice product, it still requires headphones. It seems like a good value TBH, most DAC that have TOSLINK as an input cost a bit more. It's probably a good buy if you're using it on consoles as well as your PC. If it's just for your PC there are much better USB DAC available for the price.
