Sarah Palin to visit Iowa State Fair this week on ‘One Nation’ bus tour - Polidicks

In her e-mail, Palin said “prudent Americans” live within their means, including “seeking affordable participation in more community events, local patriotic parades, and traditional all-American venues like state fairs.” Palin added that she is “excited to try some of that famous fried butter-on-a-stick, fried cheesecake-on-a-stick, fried twinkies, etc. I’ll enjoy them in honor of those who’d rather make us just ‘eat our peas’!” That was a reference to President Obama, who exhorted congressional leaders to “eat our peas” in making tough choices during the recent debt debate. Palin released a new video on her political action committee’s Web site Wednesday coinciding with her announcement. Palin narrates the 55-second film, titled “Always Proud,” which features footage of corn fields and the Iowa State Fair set to an inspirational soundtrack. “A writer observed, we grow good people in our small towns with honesty and sincerity and dignity,” Palin says in the video. “And I know just the kind of people that writer had in mind.
