I have a decent comp but this game runs terrible on it.
Hopefully it made a big difference.
Never had any issues with Arma2 or Arrowhead, but I don't game anymore and got sick of update ACE all the time. This patch looks like it might help out a lot of the people who do have issues running it though.
Nice, I thought they were done with patches.
Though I do wish they added some content like previous patches.
Rather than focusing on the goddamn performance, focus on making a downloader that doesn't suck, that way I can play the game without having to download from 30 different SVNs.
Holy moly and they doubled the quality of BAF Lite! I wonder what it looks like now.

let's just say if there ever was a battlefield covered with pixelated vomit the BAF would be set
It seems to run somewhat worse.
Someone is fixing bugs. :')
I wish they would organize their changelog.
Too bad ArmA2 is pretty much dead and unplayable now with OA out and the fact that every server you join requires 30 different 20gb sized propritary mods to be installed in the exact order in order to play using a seperate program.

Arma 2 is hugely a community game. Once you join one, you will have one of the greatest simulation experiences around. And yes, there are a lot of mods. It's not a pub style game. And 20gb is way farfetched, most servers run a maximum of 2gb of mods. Unitedoperations.net is the community i play with. (old school tacticalgamer community) They have around 1gb of mods, they update every Friday or so.
Usually an update consists of 100mb-300mb and removes that same amount. And you don't need to have an "exact" order. They don't need a load order, they just need all the files required to be there. Yoma is a perfect tool to keep you updated with your communities files, instead of hunting around and finding the links for the required files like the old days.
Arma 2 is far from "unplayable" and "dead".
I suggest finding a community and play with them. Maybe that will change your mind.
Why play arma on even medium? I play it on all low and i'm having fun.
