[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA9km4aHjzI[/media] apparently he wanted me to post this video to this section of the forum. [quote] Sam za Nemesis: [url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YA9km4aHjzI[/url] Bro post my shit on the Videos section of facepunch Sam za Nemesis: I don't have an Idea of what to put in the description [/quote] It's basically the Half life 1 Game levels ported to quake from what i can tell in the video.
Not too surprising, If i'm not mistaken HL1 runs on a modified Quake engine.
That is pretty cool.
This is half life psp. Sam za Nemesis has to be sisah from the kurok forums or its not his :D
A++ Game. Will play a thousand times.

That video is cool. Bit sad that he didn't destroy the casserole in the microwave, but I'll live.
I'm pretty sure that's Half-life for the PSP.

A bit of interesting info: WolfensteinET runs of a version of the Quake3A engine, which is obvious considering the pace of WolfensteinET In contrast to Quake 3 Arena. Which by the way is still on of my favorite games. Railgun ftw
Tell your friend this isn't new or hard to do.
-snip, wrong thread-

I wish Valve had left that camera movement while you're walking in.
I laughed when the elevator detached from the elevator button.
Not very useful considering the goldsrc engine is far superior. Though interesting to see that it's not "totally" fucked up.
Hoah! Um! Um! [editline]01:28PM[/editline] Hey button! Waaaaiiitt! [editline]01:28PM[/editline] You suppose to move with the elevatooooooor! [editline]01:28PM[/editline] Liquid professors [editline]01:29PM[/editline] Gordon have a long blue penis [editline]01:32PM[/editline] The crowbar animations are like Woooooooooooooooooooooossssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
"Huuuhh!!" This makes me want a Quake 1 emulator just to be able to play it again on my computer.
[QUOTE=ShoTGuNGuY49;19437857]Half-Life for PSP was way different from this.[/QUOTE] its half life psp, no doubt. It has EVERY bug from half life psp like the blue line that follows you, the glitched elevator button, etc
It's Sisah's, the author of Half-Life PSP. And it's also not even loading Half-Life maps, it's just Half-Life maps converted to Quake format, and Half-Life models converted to Quake format, with some Quake-Code to make it play like Half-Life. The only part that actually took any skill whatsoever was the Quake-Code, actually. The rest just takes a long ass time. The Half-Life map format, however, CAN be loaded on the Quake engine with minor modifications, namely upsampling the textures stored on the Half-Life maps into 4 bpp and rendering them as so, because otherwise they would be made horrible looking by the Quake palette's restrictions. In my own implementation of Half-Life BSP, I use a CLUT instead so they take up less RAM. The Half-Life model format can also be loaded, and the game's logic DLLs have been read in a specific Quake engine, although not entirely read, through some reverse engineering that some guys at FTEQW did. There was also a project for the original Counter-Strike that reverse engineered the map, model, and DLL format in order to play Counter-Strike in an entirely open-source engine. The project received a cease and desist order from Valve after making significant progress. This, however, isn't so much a person with development skills so much as a guy with a Half-Life model and map converter and a whole fucking lot of free time.
cool
the footstep sounds are incredibly annoying
Holy hell there's a half life for the psp?
Water npcs ftw?
Hell yeah
Quake 1 seemed to suck ass.
The smg turns to jello on the idle animations
I didn't know the smg ejected shotgun shells...
I love the sound the quake engine makes when you jump.
I love the walking And the explosion reaction on 4:15
