There's this new feminist singer on YouTube I've found called Majela. She's amazing!

This song really speaks to me. She's really an amazing lyricist. My favourite bit of this song is the interlude at 2:05 where she cleverly subverts the patriachal hegemony by using its own tools (mathematics) to undermine traditional gender roles.

This song is an interesting deconstruction of the codependent relationship - plus I love the clever way she breaks up her syllables midway through; it adds a great sort of syncopation.

This is a response to "Fight For This Love" by Cheryl Cole. I was worried when Majela chose to write this one because I thought the inane subject matter would clash with her superb witticisms but surprisingly it works! I love the way she subtly works in the musical motifs from an otherwise forgettable pop song into a well observed song that has a strong basis in gospel.

This is perhaps my favourite song - it marks a significant departure from her normal sound. She really shows off her education in this one.

I hope you guys come to love Majela as much as I do! It goes to show that even though there's a lot of dross on YouTube, if you look hard enough you'll find some gems.
She/he is....amazing!
