• Has anyone fixed an e74 Xbox error ?

A couple days ago I fixed my 360's 3RR problem by applying new thermal paste, cleaning out dust and the like. But I still new that under that 3RR, was the treacherous "e74" error. I know it has to do something with the HANA/ANA chip, but there's so many different methods of fixing it, from the penny trick to heatgunning, to just plain pressing down on the chip, I don't know which one to do. Has anyone ever fixed the e74 error ? What is the best method of fixing it ? And most importantly, why ? -All help appreciated.
It's easy to fix the e74. Just throw the piece of shit away and get a PS3. (User was banned for this post ("Trolling/snipe/useless reply" - Rusty100))

If he can afford it.
Found this on google, no idea if it works. http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/topic/67479-how-to-fix-error-e74/

I've fixed multiple Xboxes with e74, RRoD, and other errors. The best way to fix them is by using the Xclamp method. DO NOT USE THE "TOWEL TRICK".
Find a high place, dangle it over the edge, and let go.

E74 is caused by the HSIO bus within the GPU, and the scaler have nothing to do with it. The only thing you can do to try and fix E74 is to reflow the GPU, or apply the X-clamp fix for temporary fixes.
Or you could... you know, get a gaming PC.
I do have a gaming PC. Am I not allowed to play console games too ? :effort: [editline]12:07PM[/editline] I did replace the X-Clamps. As well as the thermal paste. Some re-accuring theme I see in all these "fixit" videos are people adjusting the fan so the CPU heatsink gets air while the GPU overheats.
That "overheat" method doesn't do shit, but ruins your console further. Either perform a proper reflow, or don't touch it at all.
Go to WWW.Xbox.com then hit repair console? Duh?
