• Decent Notebook/Netbook for University

I live in Australia and am going into my first year of University next year. I'm wanting to buy a decent Notebook/Netbook to use at University. There were a few that I was already looking at, but can someone help me Stray from ASUS? I'm not a fanboy or anything, I just don't know much about any other manufacturer's Notebooks. The ones I was looking at were: EEEPC 1000H - $469 ASUS UL50VT - $1349 Both of these seem to meet the requirements I'm looking for. I'm looking for a Notebook with most of the following features: - Windows 7 and Linux Support - Screen size isn't important if I'm wanting either a Netbook OR a Notebook - 160GB+ HDD - Preferably at least 7-8 hours of battery life. - Maybe some mild gaming capacity. I know the EEEPC 1000H can play things like Peggle and I'd be happy with that, but if it can play things like COD6 or the Source Engine like the UL50VT I'd be thrilled. It just means I can play games with my girlfriend when she's at my house. Budget is about $1400AUD maximum. Would I be better off going with a Netbook for the portability or a Notebook for the power? Here's some websites to get you started on where I can buy from: http://www.cpl.net.au/ http://www.msy.com.au/ http://www.centrecom.com.au/
I know you probably cant buy from this site but I highly recommend the Compaq Mini 311 from HP/Compaq throw another 1GB DDR3 ram in there and you will be able to play Source and COD6 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-020-HP&utm_source=froogle
Cool, thanks. How about a helpful reply?
Thanks for being so positive
Thanks for being so positive
All you said was "Here's the name of a laptop, find it yourself, oh and you should add RAM to it." You didn't list anything about it, you didn't say anything that I might've wanted to hear.

No, I can click the link and read the stats. You still weren't very helpful. I can't find a place that would ship it here. That's the first thing I'm looking for.
Sec Can you order from HPs site? http://h40059.www4.hp.com/mobilebroadband/?exp=direct&jumpid=in_r2515_uk/en/undefined/hho/20091130122520305%20/chev/
Not if you go to the UK site.
Oh woops sorry
Besides, you chose a different model on HP's site to the one you chose on Overclockers.
