Ever since I upgraded XP to Windows 7, on some resolutions (especially 720p), monitor's picture is not in right position/size. I tried some options on monitor's settings menu but there wasn't any fix for that. Even visited manufacturer's site (the monitor is Philips 221TE2L TV Monitor), installed a driver, didn't change anything.
It looks like this:

Does anyone know how to fix this? Quite often I wanna play games in 720p resolution.

Fixed it, turned out it was Nvidia's driver. Fixed it in Nvidia Control Panel -> Adjust desktop size and position -> Perform scaling on: GPU (It was on Display before)
What video card do you have? Did you install the latest drivers?
I know ATI/AMD sometimes have problems with scaling and positioning through HDMI connections so you'd have to correct the offset in AMD's drivers.
Still, you shouldn't play below the recommended resolution of your screen even though it should work fine.
I have an Nvidia 8400gs and I use a VGA port. Also it's a pretty low-end PC so sometimes I want to play at lower resolutions but not too low.
Just tried the latest Nvidia driver, still the same problem.
Weird thing is I don't remember it happening on Windows XP, at least not like that on 720p resolution.

Does that help at all?
Not really, thanks though.
Made a clean install on Nvidia drivers and I did try auto adjusting the screen way earlier, didn't help.
But I found out something strange.
When I press screen info button, it shows that the resolution is 1600x900, even though it's actually set to 720p. And I've tried other games too.
