A baby who was found abandoned in a cathedral in the Irish Republic is believed to be from Nottinghamshire.
The eight-month old boy was reported missing on Thursday.
Irish police say he was discovered safe and well at the Cathedral of the Assumption in Carlow Town on Friday afternoon.
A note with the baby's name on it was found attached to his buggy. Police are now working to find the child's parents.
The Irish broadcaster RTE said the baby was found in the porch area by a person visiting the cathedral and appeared to be in good health.
Apparently he has a note with his surname attached to him and had no obvious connection with Carlow.
How the fuck?
Maybe they wanted to get it baptised
When in doubt use the church, far quicker than Royal Mail.
Why would someone kidnap a baby and then drop it off at a cathedral?
If it was reported missing, then why are they working to find the parents? Didn't the parents report it?
