Weak Medal of Honor: Warfighter sales have forced Electronic Arts to scale back its earnings forecast for 2013. Electronic Arts reported a $45 million loss for the fiscal quarter that ended on December 31, 2012, which isn't good except when held up against the company's results over the same period last year, a loss of $205 million. But while the loss has improved, the revenue situation has not: Revenues for the quarter hit $922 million, compared to $1.06 billion the previous year. In response, EA reduce its annual earnings guidance slightly, from $3.85-4 billion to $3.7-3.8 billion.

Sauce It keeps happening!
A small victory, but nevertheless,
I have a love-hate relationship with EA. I really like some of their games, but I hate their business strategies. I don't want them to fail, but them losing money isn't going to stop them from being cuntbags.
Serves them right. MoH: Warfighter was a travesty
Well that's a shame. Burn EA
Serves them right. MoH: Warfighter was a travesty
Nah it was average if not better than most america fuck yeah military shooters.
It's still not enough to end them. Seems like nothing will topple these assholes
The devs at EA owned dev companies are great, its sad that they have to be imprisoned in that horrible place.
maybe this will convince them to change their shitty bussiness practices? nah just kiddin' its more likely we will just get microtransactions forced into every single game they publish from here on out.
Please die EA, then we can raffle off all those epic studios to better publishers and see the amazing follow-up titles that we want. Still can't wait for the inevitable Homeworld sequel that'll be coming out of the THQ auction on Relic.
Please die EA, then we can raffle off all those epic studios to better publishers and see the amazing follow-up titles that we want.
I bet if EA started raffling off studios, Activision would try and buy some, Thus sadly still ruining the games.
I feel bad for the well meaning people who need the jobs.
"This market is too stable, long term profit is dumb! Gamers love day one DLC on the disc."- EA CEO
I bet if EA started raffling off studios, Activision would try and buy some, Thus sadly still ruining the games.
Activision can make good games, if you dont count in COD :v:
Activision can make good games, if you dont count in COD :v:
yeah, just look at the wreck-it-ralph game for wii! ....oh...
Activision can make good games, if you dont count in COD :v:
CoD is a decent game at it's core, it's just become far too iterative and the year to year releases are killing it's sales momentum.
Activision can make good games, if you dont count in COD :v:
So can EA.
Wow the people in this thread makes me sick. Just because you don't like the company you wish they would go out of business? What about the thousands of people employed there who honestly just want to make a great game?
EA's games can range from being really cool to being really shit but their business practices are pretty much not worth it
It's kinda funny in recent times. Back in the 90s, you had Call of Duty riding on the success of WWII Shooters, Battlefield wouldn't introduce the fun of vehicle combat for a few years, and meanwhile Medal of Honor was one of the best! Combining great action, with great music and levels, to create a wonderful experiance. Nowadays, Call of Duty is doing continuing storylines, Battlefield is still riding hard on vehicle combat. Then Medal of Honor comes out and we get, nothing. No real story, the multiplayer sucked from what I heard, and it was one of the dullest games around. Even for a modern warfare themed game it was a snore fest. And Warfighter just comes in with an embarrassing name, not knowing that it failed to capture the general audience. And pretty soon Battlefield is gonna get old and then EA will have to do something completely out and away from the box to get back up again.

Medal of Honour didn't really get good until Allied Assault again in 2002. Medal of Honour kinda deserved to die in the 00's, they milked it to shit.
battlefield 3 already got pretty stale once endgame comes out that's probably gonna be a week of playing it before it just goes back to gathering dust because it's just not fun anymore I don't even want to think about battlefield 4

Dunno if that would get you more interested in the game though. Excited for BF4 personally, then again I'm a bit of a Battlefield fanboy :v:
After playing the Crysis 3 MP beta, I can't wait for ea to die
to sum EA up in most peoples eyes
to sum EA up in most peoples eyes
To be fair, they also did this
To be fair, they also did this
that was a while ago, before it was in a shithole
nah just kiddin' its more likely we will just get microtransactions forced into every single game they publish from here on out.
the sad, sad truth.
