this is actually a very good and necessary article because frankly the starter edition fucks you over so hard. and its such a common issue because steam advertises the starter edition primarily, so people buy it not realizing they're getting screwed
I still find it quite hilarity that this game is still cheaper in Australia to have it physically, and delivered, you save around 10-13 dollars. But yeah, my friend bought two starter editions as gifts with his free steam money... I wonder how that's going to turn out for them. [editline]28th November 2017[/editline] My personal advice is also to not buy the game on steam unless your really must. Steam's going to download uplay anyway, and to run the game, you need to have both clients online and/or working. Updates are handled over steam, which go some may prefer, but it's just a hassle dealing with double DRM. Buying the game at a authorised reseller could be cheaper on the long run, but refunds if you wanted to consider that. I'm unsure on ubisofts refund policies... Key sellers typically have none. Could be a big deal to some, or not
Starter edition isnt that bad if you play fairly regularly, but there's literally no point this long after release
Starter edition isnt that bad if you play fairly regularly, but there's literally no point this long after release
More or less. I feel like it becomes tiring after you've unlocked a few operators, and thats without counting the dlc operators that cost double the renown.
