I normally don't post stuff like this but jesus how is this possible?
It clearly says it in the title. It was magic.
With a water tank like that it probably involves mirrors, so that the contents of the tank are different than what it looks like.
Probably mirrors with a opening with coins and fish in the middle.
for the coins you can constantly see his offhand reaching for more coins a lot of the time behind the chair or by his leg or behind him, and for the fish trick i'm not sure but it's probably mirrors in the tank

anything is possible in 360p

I want them to get back to bullshit so badly.
There's two tanks, with the front one having a mirror in the back. The tank in the back has the fish and coins in it. The rest is just slight of hand, which both of them are masters at. The reason he puts lots of fish in instead of one is to make sure people can't realize it's a mirror. Each time he puts his hands in, one goes in the back, one in front, so the reflection of the front one on the back mirror makes it look like there's actually two hands in that tank when there really isn't. Simple trick, I remember watching it on TV a long time ago and it took me a bit to figure this out as well. [editline]1st March 2015[/editline] I don't think there are any chair compartments, I just think Teller is a fantastic magician and his slight of hand skills are to such a degree he could do that without anything super fancy.
His saliva is glue I've figured it out
i feel like there's some slight-of-hand to do with adhesive in their mouth but fuck me, if thats the trick then im mighty impressed at how much they must've practiced that shit and/or inhaled tape/glue
What happens to the mirror that it suddenly reveals the fish, though?
Nothing happens to the mirror and the fish aren't revealed. I'm betting Teller actually grabbed the fish (or opened a compartment that let them flood in) to put them in from the tank behind the mirror. If he put, let's say, a single fish in there, you'd notice the mirror immediately. Since he put a lot in you'd hardly notice, if at all, the mirror in the back since a large amount of fish reflected still just looks like a large amount of fish.
The coins is all slight of hand. Just watch the hand that isn't doing anything because it's doing all the work. Penn & Teller are slight of hand masters. As for all the fish, obviously they have to be in that tank from the very start, so it's probably just angled mirrors. It's a little odd how it seems opaque even though it's clear water with a black background behind it, no? Probably divides the tank into two and then he just collapses/folds/closes/opens whatever
