• Weasel my way out of a cell phone contract

Mods if this is wrong section please move it. I have an htc touch pro 2 on us cellular. I'm going to get the new iphone, but this contract still has like a year and a half on it. Is there a way of like returning the phone or just getting out of the contract without paying 150$? Or at least at a discounted price? Thanks for all help.
As far as I know, if you read the contract terms (small print) you have to pay the rest of your contract, or at least pay your way out of it. Wanting to get the new Iphone then eh? Good luck with that, I wouldn't pay my way out of a contract for any phone personally, but for an Iphone eheh.
I don't think there's an easy way to end your contract without spending more than $150 or yelling at representatives on the phone for hours
There is a website that will take over your remaining contract for 15 bucks. You can find more information here http://www.cellswapper.com/ Not sure how to use it or how it works.
you could try bitching about the signal strength that's how we got outta my sprint contract in peoria don't know if that will work for you but it's worth a shot
I have just decided to pay for it. Its 700 for me and my brother to get the new iphone and to get out of our current plans. I'm selling mine and his ipod touch and my ps3 because i never use it. And Master, that site lets people buy your contract, which i can't do because i'm breaking off from a family plan
You could always fake your death, but I hear it's still hard to even get out of a cellular contract even if you really die.
Guys, quick question. If i'm on the set up at&t plan page and i choose 200 texts, will that split them between us, or only for one phone and i need to buy a seperate text plan for the other phone

If you have any questions like that, I'd suggest customer care at 18003310500, but expect a long ass wait thanks to people calling about info on the new iphone. Basically, you'd need family texting.
Which is $30 unlimited texting for up to 5 people (it's what my family has to use).

One more thing, is there free incoming texts and calls?
It's just an iPhone. Keep your contract until it expires and get iPhone 4 when it goes on sale in the future.
One more thing, is there free incoming texts and calls?
Not as far as I know. [editline]12:44AM[/editline]
It's just an iPhone. I remember black friday, when we had an actual sale on them (3g's and 3gs's). So many orders pending because the ordering system didn't allow us to process for the price on the order because apple didn't give us the go-ahead, it was just sad. At least it's only premier that has to really deal with that. Most of you guys won't have to.
Selling your PS3 and iPod touch? To get an iPhone? Really?
Well my touch i wouldn't need, and i already have a 360 and pc, so...

Well I have request, and will love you. My brothers phone was contracted in sep for 2 years. Can anyone see if that lowers the early termination cost? I looked into the tos but it was too confusing

I think you should think hard about what you're doing. Because it's going to cost alot of money just to change phones.
Just found something out, it takes off 7.50 for every month after 4 that its been on contract, and i can choose to cancel my parents plan, both which are like 15 months in, so actually its only like 150 to cancel our phones
I'm sorry but I have to just say it, you're stupid.
Bud, just tough it out. Think about it this way. When your contract goes up in a year and a half, there will be an even BETTER iPhone. Possibly with real 4G. And then it will be a REAL upgrade. It will feel much more satisfying to get an iPhone after you get tired of your old phone.
Haha, I guess i am, but nothings stopping me. I actually save money on this at&t plan than on my old family plan. So... and it pretty much pays for everything. By selling both our ipod touches and my old phone i can buy the iphones and cancel our contract. So really its not spending much money

Who am I to tell you how to spend it?
