A British woman was pulled over and given a ticket for flossing her teeth while driving on the highway reports The Telegraph . The police were running a concentrated effort on pulling over distracted drivers during an eight day crack down. The unidentified woman was driving 70 mph when she was pulled over by police for flossing.
Well at least she was practicing good hygiene, link
Now we know why their teeth are so horrible, they have laws against cleaning their teeth.
I guess it wasn't a clean getaway after all.
Now we know why their teeth are so horrible, they have laws against cleaning their teeth.
This is the best joke that'll be in this thread.
This is going to turn into a British having bad teeth and America being fat thread soon, It always does.
it wasnt that she was flossing, it was that she was doing it at 70mph and not paying attention to the road.
*Insert British stereotype* Why was she flossing while driving?
it wasnt that she was flossing, it was that she was doing it at 70mph and not paying attention to the road.
No it was for flossing :downs:

Well that's one way to take a bite out of crime.
those are crooked laws man!!!!!! no but seriously at 70 mph you should pay attention to the road
That's what you get for...flossing the street.
The things people try to do while driving are incredible. Also, misleading title.
Don't you need to use two hands to floss?
Why is this news? Wouldn't matter if she was pulled over for using a cell phone or makeup or something. [editline]08:35PM[/editline]
Don't you need to use two hands to floss?
Maybe she was using her knees to steer.
Guess she had a... Brush with the Law! [editline]12:44PM[/editline] yeaaaaaaaah
Why would they state the speed in mph if the woman is British Shouldn't it be in km/h
Seriously, who flosses in a car? Let alone flosses at all?
Seriously, who flosses in a car? Let alone flosses at all?
Flossing cleans and removes plaque from hard to brush areas. Anyone who cares about their teeth should floss. You want to know of a man who didn't floss? Hitler.
Don't you need to use two hands to floss?
Not if you're a badass
Seriously, who flosses in a car? Let alone flosses at all?
I tried to remember to floss for a week, I broke my rule on day 4 when I started getting late.
So that's why Tony Blair hasn't been arrested...
Also, misleading title.

it wasnt that she was flossing, it was that she was doing it at 70mph and not paying attention to the road.
This, and This.
Why would they state the speed in mph if the woman is British Shouldn't it be in km/h
We still use MPH here. We're in a state of flux with imperial/metric measurements - still clinging on to a lot of the imperial measurements while slowly making metric visible to switch. Most measurements are provided in both, speed limits being an exception.
You want to know of a man who didn't floss? Hitler.
Getting :godwin: out of the way early are we?

The only thing worth flossing with.... especially when driving a freaking car.
That's ridiculous

Those things are awesome. They're the only way I can get between my molars.
She better clean up her act.

There was one of those on the ground at the bus stop this afternoon.
Don't you need to use two hands to floss?
Yes, but with cruise control, multitasking is a breeze!
