• Laptop that is light in weight and good?

Hey guys, I currently own a HP pavilion dv8, it has a huge screen, and it's specs are as follows: Intel core i7 @ Q720 1.60GHZ (8 CPUs) - 1.6GHZ 6144MB RAM 3277MB Nvidia GeForce 230m DirectX 11 I'm in college and this laptop runs basically anything at high speed, be it Adobe Photoshop, Maya, 3d studio max, Adobe Premiere... be it sound, image or 3d editing, this guy has it on and it's a 4 year old laptop... the HUGE problem is, its weight kills me, it kills my back because it's SO hard to carry around! So sadly I have to spend money on a lighter laptop... my sister recommended me a imac but I kinda dislike it, they seem light, as light as a notepad book and that's cool, but I couldn't game with it on my free time, kinda lame. My laptop weights 6 to 7kgs, which is insane for my backpack, it barely fits on it as well. Do you guys recommend anything that is as light as a macbook but is still good enough to run multiple work applications fine? I also don't have much money, so buying a macbook wouldn't be the ideal. I guess I'm willing to spend between 700 to 1500€ maybe 2000€ if it's highly justifiable and is well spent money. I'm not loaded with money.
I personally own an Acer V7 (the 850M version just came out in Europe). I like it because it's around 2kg but has discrete graphics and a battery that lasts. Has a good screen, 1080p IPS, nice and clear and colorful. Processor is kind of anemic, but works. Macbook Pro 15" Retinas are great editing computers if you're looking for a overall well balanced package and don't mind overpaying a good chunk of money for such. Color-calibrated display, decent keyboard, touchpad and sound, decent battery life, decent processing power and graphics. Twice the price of the Acer.
online link?
Oh wait, that's the V5 that came out with the 850M. While I'm having trouble finding a Portugal link, there is this review for it and this amazon.de listing for it. (The V5 and V7 are practically the same computer). Maybe you'd find it if you looked around. Otherwise it seems that the MBP15" Retina is 2000EUR on the portugal store. There are other options like the Asus Zenbook UX301/302 which also seem solid but someone with personal experience with those will have to chime in.
