It's quite sad; I work for a local government and one of the ladies I work with was good friends with one of the victims. She actually just saw him not too long ago.
It shook us all up a bit because there are some ridiculously angry people that we've dealt with who I could personally see doing something like this.
For those of you who didn't read, the guy's issue was that he was upset with the city because they had his property condemned and forced him out. This was because he built a structure without the appropriate permits or sewage hookups. They found buckets of fecal matter and waste on his property because he didn't have proper sewage services connected.
