So my recent PC finally bit the dust a few days ago, and I'm now in need of a new one so I thought I would consult facepunch for help. Budget is obvious and I'm trying to use it for gaming. I don't need a keyboard, mouse, speakers, or monitor (1440x900). Also I live in the US, New Jersey. So yeah, any help would greatly be appreciated. Also I don't really have any experience in pc building but it shouldn't be too hard to learn, unless there is an easier way then alternatives would be cool.
So you need an OS?
Yeah.
On it
Aah, my build comes up to $600. Cutting it down would drop performance a lot, and I found some good combo deals too. Do you have any extra CD drives? That can save you $20.

Or can you scrounge up $600? If not, I'll cut it down a bit.
Unfortuanently no, budget can't exceed $500.

Sorry to hijack, but can you post that $600 build?
Someone else asked for a $500 build, forgot about yours. You could see the one I suggested him in http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1083868-Family-PC-Build-or-Prebuilt-If-build-what-parts

Well in a way you're still helping me, so thank you, much appreciated.
It's a decent gaming build. Will run well on your monitor since my 4670 was pretty decent on my monitor before (1366x768). The 5670 is slightly better anyway, enough to get a few more FPS in most games. Besides, the PSU can handle most cards other than the highest tier ones when you upgrade in the future.
