It is alleged that the eccentric real estate mogul will claim that the documents show the First Lady and the President were at one point in their two decades of marriage seriously considering splitting up. Trump set the hare running on Monday by claiming that he was set to make an announcement on Wednesday that would be ‘bordering on gigantic' and that it would ‘possibly’ change the Presidential race. The billionaire told Fox & Friends that he had 'something very, very big concerning the president of the United States'. 'It's going to be very big. I know one thing- you will cover it in a very big fashion’. Trump declined to elaborate, but today an investor who appears on the same business talk show as him claimed to have more details. Douglas Kass, a Florida-based investor who appears on CNBC’s talkshow ‘Squawkbox’ where Trump is often a commentator, tweeted to his 48,000 followers: 'High above the Alps my Gnome has heard that Donald Trump will announce that he has unearthed divorce papers between the Prez and his wife.' When asked about the Tweet, Trump spokeswoman Holly Lorenzo told MailOnline: ‘All we know is that he is going to announce it on his Twitter and Facebook accounts tomorrow. I don’t know what time it will be, that’s all I know.' Interviews with both Kass and Trump appeared on the show’s website this morning. Kass is an author, the founder and President of Seabreeze Partners Management and has also appeared in newspapers including the Wall St Journal and the New York Times. The claims about divorce papers have previously been made in a book released earlier this year by author Ed Klein. The White House rubbished the allegations then and claimed Klein had a history of making things up. Trump also has a questionable record when it comes to his own allegations, most notably being a leading ‘birther’, so-called because he believes Obama was born in Kenya and not Hawaii, thus disqualifying him from being President of the United States. The host of The Apprentice even claimed to have sent investigators to Hawaii in his failed attempt to prove the theory. Despite the support of the Tea Party the issue went away when the President released the long form of his birth certificate last year. The President also spent a portion of his speech at the White House Correspondent's Dinner in April 2011 taking jabs at Trump. He said: 'Now, I know that he’s taken some flak lately, but no one is happier, no one is prouder to put this birth certificate matter to rest than the Donald. 'And that’s because he can finally get back to focusing on the issues that matter - like, did we fake the moon landing? What really happened in Roswell? And where are Biggie and Tupac?' The two men have however remained very public enemies. Obama has branded Trump a ‘carnival barker’ and Trump in reply refers to the incumbent as ‘the worst president ever’ and even threatened to run against him. He toured New Hampshire and said very clearly that he was seriously contemplating a shot at the presidency. Later he became something of a political touchstone for the various Republican candidates and eventually endorsed Mitt Romney. Please someone enlighten me as to why this should change anyone's voting preferences?

Oh, good. More journalistic voyeurism. Why focus on the actual issues when we can speculate about something that has no influence on any American or Foreign policy? Why report on serious, important news when we can make baseless claims without evidence? Why do our job when we can squeeze out some stupid story that will have no positive effect on the American people's discourse? Honestly, the press ends up pissing me off most of the time because of shit like this. I'm probably taking it too seriously, but I sincerely believe that they have a responsibility to the American people, who trust them and act based on what they report, to quite simply do better. They could change the way we think about politics and what's important, but they choose to take the path of least resistance and we're all worse off for it. [sp]Well, that was a bit more of a rant than I thought it would be.[/sp]
Donald Trump has been married three times. If he uses an 'almost divorce' to try and get moral high ground over Obama then that's plain dumb.
He was also ready to endorse Gingrich at one point so he can go suck a dick.
Donald Trump has been married three times. If he uses an 'almost divorce' to try and get moral high ground over Obama then that's plain dumb.
I don't think anyone has ever credited Trump with an abundance of intelligence.
Why does this even matter
I don't think anyone has ever credited Trump with an abundance of intelligence.
He some sort of business based intelligence to get to where he is, but otherwise, he doesn't seem to do what is smart, but what he wants to do.
this is the man who also teased "big news about obama" that would "possibly change the election" on twitter, later turning out to be "I have some sources in hawaii digging up Obama's birth history and you'd be surprised what they found". I didn't even hear about him doing that until after obama had released his birth certificates
So much trump pours out of that guy's mouth.
"Let's poke about in people's family and private life that should be fun!!1!"
That is kinda standard affair in politics...
who the fuck pays attention to donald trump
who the fuck pays attention to donald trump
have you seen his entire head it's hard not to notice him when he's flailing his hair around
they had marriage problems and got through them. who cares? [editline]24th October 2012[/editline] does donald trump think hes the wikileaks master or something
Interestingly I think this is an argument FOR Michelle and Barack. They had marriage problems and they were resilient enough to get through them. Of course, Trump, the attention mogul that he is, wants to translate that into "They have marriage problems." Not that it in itself has anything to do with politics, but its nonsensical association means it has everything to do with politics.
SO IT TURNS OUT THAT THE PRESIDENT Yeah THAT'S RIGHT The guy that RUNS THIS COUNTRY GET THIS EVERYBODY BECAUSE ITS HUGE .....Has been caught USING THE BATHROOM!
I'm gonna laugh my ass off if this thing is real and it's from ten years ago, because they obviously patched it up looking at them today. What a pathetic stun and he should feel bad and his parents should feel bad that he was born.
even if they were considering a divorce i think the sole fact that they didn't split up means even more, and would in fact give the president a better family man appearance in that he stuck by all the hardships and overcame them.
