A newborn baby who still had his umbilical cord attached was found in a nativity scene at a Queens church on Monday.
The infant was abandoned at Holy Child Jesus Church in Richmond Hill and was discovered by a custodian around noon, according to police sources.
So it had an umbilical cord still attached, means either two things:
1) This is Jesus, because last time he didn't have father, now he has neither parent.
2) Someone delivered a baby silently within a church? wtf
Well, that's one hell of a way to start out life, abandoned in a nativity scene. Yeesh, it's like the start of a slightly grim Christmas movie or something.
If its a boy, it'd probably be appropriate to name him "Joshua" or something. Since "Jesus" is a little on the nose, but there are a few degrees of connection that link the earlier name Joshua(/Yeshua) to the name Jesus.
in 18 years that kid's going to go on a christmas murder spree

He's getting adopted by some religious family so it seems more like some Campy Christian movie intro or some kind of sports thing.
Holy shit our Lord and Saviour has returned!
Ya'll better get to churchin' right quick, the book'a Revelations is 'bout to come tah pass!
In all seriousness, however, somehow in my head it just makes sense that something like this would happen in Queens.
Leaving an unwanted child at a church/monastery is one of those old-timey medieval things you'd think to never see in the modern world.
The classics never die, I suppose.
At least they didn't do a late term abortion

The 3rd time around for Jesus was destined to be very difficult.
