[release]MASSACHUSETTS - Man accused of wasabi sauce assault A Barnstable man has been charged with assault for allegedly hitting his girlfriend in the face with a pair of designer jeans he had doused in wasabi sauce. John McGuinness was arraigned in Barnstable District Court last week on charges including domestic assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for allegedly attacking his girlfriend because she had received a text message from another man as they drove home from a bar. Police tell the Cape Cod Times (http://bit.ly/KpQG4b ) the 22-year-old McGuinness doused the woman's $200 jeans in the pungent Japanese sauce and threw them outside. When she went to his home to recover the jeans, he allegedly struck her in the face with them, getting sauce in her eyes, then poured more sauce in her car.[/release] [release][img_thumb]http://wfxt.images.worldnow.com/images/18776012_BG1.jpg[/img_thumb] Wasabi McGuinness[/release]

Augh! I don't know how badly that would hurt to get in your eyes, but it's like an Inferno in my sinuses.
hitting his girlfriend in the face with a pair of designer jeans he had doused in wasabi sauce.
That's so unnecessarily complex
Wasabi is some bad shit
I don't know which is more ridiculous, that a guy coated a pair of jeans in wasabi and beat his girlfriend with them, or that said jeans cost $200. And why exactly did he even have enough wasabi to coat a pair of jeans, and then still have some left over?
It's like the start of some crazy Xanatos Gambit!

death sentence for him
Wasabi is some bad shit
It's not as bad as capsaicin-based compounds. Wasabi is a dry heat and dissipates somewhat quickly, whereas capsaicin is an oil that's really hard to get out of your mucous membranes.
Yep, that might be enough Internet for me tonight.
I remember sneaking in some wasabi in my sister and dads food. And they would try to do the same
and why would he put wasabi on $200 jeans
By the sound of it his girlfriend bought them and she was cheating on him.
"hey" "do you know anything about bei?" "whats a bei?" "oh not much, you?"
Absolutely lost it after reading the underlined part. That is so ridiculous. I'll think twice before slinging condiment-soaked trousers at people now.
:v:
pungent Japanese sauce
This could be an art house film
He must have had to make the wasabi into a more saucey consistency, because it's usually just a clump that cant really be used to douse something. Did he wipe it all over her pants?
By the sound of it his girlfriend bought them and she was cheating on him.

On the way home, the victim received a text message from a male friend.
cheating on him is another thing completely, this is a grade-a sociopath
cheating on him is another thing completely, this is a grade-a sociopath
I am sorry, but how is it sociopathic to attack someone with wasabi jeans? I bet he felt a lot of emotions while doing so.
I am sorry, but how is it sociopathic to attack someone with wasabi jeans? I bet he felt a lot of emotions while doing so.
it's sociopathic to attack someone with wasabi jeans just because they got a text from another man
it's sociopathic to attack someone with wasabi jeans just because they got a text from another man
Is it now?

Is that only for peppers?
I thought the capsacin was what made horseradish hot. Is that only for peppers?
Yeah, only peppers contain capsaicin. Horseradish and wasabi are "spicy" (pungent) due to allyl isothiocyanate.
