We need a "Health" Section - General

Garry is not going to make a special section just because of your thread. The general discussion is here for a reason.

A Health forum would be good. Facepunch needs somewhere to put all these threads. The doctors and smart people of facepunch could help out faster if they had their own forum. I see quiet a few of similar threads in FT and some in threads them selves. Some don't get noticed because there is no exact place to put these.

Lets call it Watch and Weight. hmm....

I think we should have one too. Sure, no one will really be able to help if you have say, a weird looking tumor on your face. However most problems that people go to the doctor for aren't really doctor-worthy. Stuff like diarrhea remedies and stuff to ease a runny nose or ways of relieving a bad headache. That deserves a forum or at least a really big thread I think. Hell, maybe I will make one some day.

Most health threads are dumb and don't deserve their own section, Medicine would better describe them, though. A Health/medicine section might fit under the "lifestyles" custom forum but not much else.

I think most people just throw health related threads into the [url="http://www.facepunch.com/forumdisplay.php?f=344"]Lifestyle and Hobbies[/url] section.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to get a health section up, it would filter out the medical questions in General Discussion. There'd be a nice little isolated spot for all the inane questions people have about their health, and it wouldn't be mixed in with everything else. There might have to be some sort of ground rules first (e.g. do not offer advice unless you know what you are talking about for sure... like that'll happen). It's not like the users on this site can diagnose people's illnesses, but it would give them a place to briefly talk about them to see if they have a reason to worry. Half of the health threads I see on here are really about getting some reassurance and typically not about actually solving the problem.

if garry does this, he'll have to put up a disclaimer, all legit like e.g."there is no actual medical advice in this forum"

It deserves a thread in a subforum of a subforum of a subforum of the furry subforum forum.
