• Where To Go? First track from a solo project [Ambient Industrial]

Hey FP.Here's a track I made to learn how to use Ableton Live,Reason and Cubase. I've always wrote songs with other people in bands, and never completed a full song on my own, so it's new for me.I've been playing with software synthesizers for years now and I'm very familiar with them, just not the DAWs and shit. Anyway, it's my first track, and I think I'm still going to go back and tweak it because it's slightly repetitive. Constructive crit is more than welcome. Edit: It's probably worth mentioning that I do guitar and vocals.. but I don't have a mic, and my pre-amp is too shitty to use to record. http://soundcloud.com/evan-porterfield/where-to-go
It's pretty quiet and menacing; it would make a really great intro/buildup to something. I'm intrigued as to how this can evolve.
Thanks! I was thinking about using it as an intro to an album. I think the slow buildup may work for something like that. I just noticed that the export fucked up my drum parameters.. They were supposed to cut out at certain parts near the end. I'll have to go back and fix that. Thanks for the input. And on a side note.. mastering and mixing is a fucking bitch.
