Bret Baier: FBI Sources Believe Clinton Foundation Case Moving Towards "Likely an Indictment"
82 replies, posted
Fox News Channel's Bret Baier reports the latest news about the Clinton Foundation investigation from two sources inside the FBI. He reveals five important new pieces of information in these two short clips:
1. The Clinton Foundation investigation is far more expansive than anybody has reported so far and has been going on for more than a year.
2. The laptops of Clinton aides Cherryl Mills and Heather Samuelson have not been destroyed, and agents are currently combing through them. The investigation has interviewed several people twice, and plans to interview some for a third time.
3. Agents have found emails believed to have originated on Hillary Clinton's secret server on Anthony Weiner's laptop. They say the emails are not duplicates and could potentially be classified in nature.
4. Sources within the FBI have told him that an indictment is "likely" in the case of pay-for-play at the Clinton Foundation, "barring some obstruction in some way" from the Justice Department.
5. FBI sources say with 99% accuracy that Hillary Clinton's server has been hacked by at least five foreign intelligence agencies, and that information had been taken from it.
Is it possible for you to find a source that doesn't rely on Fox News as their primary source?
i will wait and see if an indictment does take place
Hope it happens, but money talks, and then we can have a better democrat candidate which 100% WILL win against trump.

That's why I used RCP since they actually picked it up. I didn't want to use Fox News directly, but felt like RCP is pretty accepted here.

But the source is still Fox News with anonymous sources. That hardly makes it any better

With so many votes cast already and so little time left, Hillary being arrested/charged would be more likely to lead to a Trump win, or a three way split, than another Democratic candidate winning.

The election would have to be delayed. Removing one of the two viable candidates, especially after votes have already been cast for her, would be bad news. There would likely be violence.

What the fuck are you talking about? If there's a Clinton indictment, Trump WILL WIN THIS ELECTION. There's no time for another candidate to really support, and more than 20% of the nation has already voted.

Election can't be delayed without a Constitutional override. If they wanted that as an option, Congress should've acted on it when Clinton had the health scare back in September.
Most likely event if Clinton wins and gets indicted (and not pardoned) is that Kaine takes over.
The Congress may determine the Time of chusing [sic] the Electors, and the Day on which they shall give their Votes; which Day shall be the same throughout the United States.
Congress sets a national Election Day. Currently, Electors are chosen on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November, in the year before the President's term is to expire. The Electors cast their votes on the Monday following the second Wednesday in December of that year. Thereafter, the votes are opened and counted by the Vice President, as President of the Senate, in a joint session of Congress.

oh god imagine Biden being first to declare Trump as president

Ah, the good ol' media equivalent of "I've got a brother who has a friend who helped a feller put an air conditioner in for the son-in-law of a secretary for the FBI" shtick.

If that were the case, wouldn't that have been realized when they investigated the server itself months ago? How could the FBI possibly infer five separate hacks using Weiner's laptop? And considering they only got the warrant to search the emails on said laptop late Sunday night, they managed to figure this all out in just seventy-two hours?
Sounds like a prime time to throw more shitty FBI facts to discourage people from voting for Clinton in a few days.

Considering the nature of this case, I expect the best of the FBI are on this. National security jobs have insanely well trained staff [sp]minus Clinton[/sp] that can identify signs of a breach, and occasionally can identify who breached the system. I don't know their methods but considering what the NSA is capable of, I trust the FBI's cyber-security abilities.
Also, I am 100% certain the FBI are working 24/7 on this case. There's no time left until the election, and slow work on this case would tarnish the FBI's reputation forever if Clinton wins. I expect a lot of staffers at the FBI were already upset with Comey's statement in the summer, and they see this as their last chance to book [del]Clinton[/del] a potential criminal before they get away for good.

There's enough reasons not to vote for Clinton. Government agencies being apolitical doesn't mean they don't interfere with political processes, it means that the political consequences of their work mean nothing in how they treat a case.
The announcement that they are opening the case is more to protect the reputation of the FBI rather than to attack the Clinton camp. Imagine if Clinton won and they never came forward with this information until several weeks after the election.
Most likely event if Clinton wins and gets indicted (and not pardoned) is that Kaine takes over.
Impeachment cannot be pardoned, and even pardoning her in the first place seems like political suicide for the Democratic party.

Oh shit you're right
Article II, Section 2 of the U.S. Constitution states as follows:
The President…shall have the power to grant reprieves and pardons for offenses against the United States, except in cases of impeachment.
Theoretically, if she is charged and convicted after winning the election, could Obama pardon her crimes while he is still is office? Impeachment only applies to officials in office and she wouldn't be in an office at the time of pardoning.
Our only hope is that Trump also gets arrested for his fraud-rape and Obama stages a coup to seize power.

Let not forget the situation the FBI is in. If they are seen to be giving favoritism to the Democrats, they will deal with backlash coming from Republicans in Congress after the election for partisan ship. If they are seen going after Hillary only, they will be dealing with backlash coming from democrats.
The FBI has a powerful incentive to be neutral concerning this. Or so I am told.
Edit: If they do nothing, they will be seen by everyone as ineffective, cowardly and unwilling to do their jobs. This would create a backlash. If they do something and are bipartisan in their work, power on both sides of the aisle will give them hell.
So yes, the fbi in a bad spot right now.
The person reporting this actually has a reputation. It would be a lot less credible if it came from something like infowars
Fox News... the only reputation they have are with the people that couldn't care less if something that like this is true or not.

Caught between a rock and a hard place. Best thing they can do right now is continue their motion of transparency that started back when Comey first said that prosecuting Clinton would probably go nowhere back in the summer.
Regardless of the election outcome or investigation outcome I expect changes to be made to the FBI following the election.
This is one hell of an election. What the fuck is going on?
Will the FBI impeach Hillary before the election? Will Trump rally his supporters to take the White House? Will we mulligan?
Find out in the next episode of "Dear God help me all I hear is a high pitched ringing now!"

To be honest, I would be very happy if law enforcement took down both candidates at the same time. Both are shady and show signs of having been involved with criminal dealings. Note signs is not proof.

I initially just wanted the GOP to burn with Trump. Clinton is burning the DNC with her scandals and might get herself jailed as well. This election is giving me more than I hoped for.
I'm guessing that if both candidates got booked we would be stuck with their VP. I like Pence as a statesman but don't like his policies as much as Trump's. Kaine is just... no.
Jesus, I thought the ride was fucking over. I thought it was all fucking over, but nope we're just getting started gents. Buckle the fuck up and get comfy.

I am personally ok with either VP getting elected if by some rare chance both Trump and Clinton get canned.

comey probably cries every night at the situation he has been put in
Can this shit-flinging ride of 2016 just end already, jeez.
woah I love these "two sources inside the FBI"
In media reporting, 2 independent anonymous sources are enough to have a believable ethical case for releasing.

Wow... thanks oba i mean hillary

the scary thing is that 2016 is just the beginning, i see no reason why 2017 will be any more sane than this year
