Hi! Some of you might know me around here, as it happens some of you may not, I'm Dead Madman, I've been producing under Morgan Hicks (my irl name would you know lmfao) for a certain amount of time now, and my friend who's currently participating in a college course for music production has been assisting me with my public releases for a while now, and we'd been putting off collaborating until roughly November 2012, so in February we decided to get started on an EP together under an alias "Arkatt"
This is our EP! Garagey-house shit inspired by 90s stuff and some Disclosure/Duke Dumont, please give me some feedback, I'd love to share it with him, since he's someone I have high respect for, as he's extremely talented :v:
It sounds pretty good. You guys captured the vibe well and I don't really have anything bad to say apart from the snare sounds weak.

Thank you so much man! And the snare was just our personal choice, some people like little snares like that, some people love em (i.e. my self c; )
quick update
we've hit 200 plays total in the first 5 hours of release! We're also soon to be promoted on futuregarage.net and have our stuff be reuploaded to their soundcloud (which has 12k followers) across this and next week! Which should be awesome :v:

yo this is good as fuck but i gotta agree with bytecry, that snare should definitely have at least some mids, it sounds really bad. it kinda blends with the hihats and makes the rhythm sound weak.
the vocals could also drop out sometimes, they get kinda annoying.
really just small things, this is overall sick and the bass in the second drop is crazy cool.

Well we're taking this project in baby steps :
We aren't doing this for pure success, fame and money and whatever, music isn't about that imo, we're doing it to express ourselves and how we feel music should be expressed, I can understand some people won't like particular elements of our stuff, like the snare and that, but if I'm totally honest it's just how we felt it should sound, we're heavily inspired by 90s garage, and we tried our utmost hardest to try and capture that sound, but thanks for the nice comments, we highly appreciate them! (It's also nice to hear such kind comments from a fantastic producer like yourself!)
Hey man! I just want to drop in and say that I'm completely hooked on Planet Janet (it's amazing!). The rest of the ep is pretty sick too, the only track that wasn't that much to my liking was under the radar. It's just a bit too minimalistic imo. I hope to hear more of your duo in the future (I'm It.begins from soundcloud)

Thank you so much man!
By the way, Planet Janet is no.4 on futuregarage.net right now!
