Phenom II X2 550 BE 4th Core unlocks, but windows hangs on boot?

Ello Everyone
I finally got that new rig that I made a thread about putting together with a $400 budget and it came together nicely.
Gigabyte M68MT-S2 AM3 Mobo
Phenom II X2 550 BE 3.1Ghz
4GB DDR3 1333Mhz
Geforce GTX 550 Ti
1TB HDD
Windows 7 Pro
Everything that I play now maxes out with full AA. Problem is is that I'm trying to get some more horsepower out of it by unlocking the hidden cores on the CPU. I'm using Gigabyte's default Utility that came on the motherboard's driver disc to unlock them and upon boot it shows that it's using a Phenom II X4, but when the OS boots up Windows hangs at Starting Windows. I can load the default bios settings in the bios and boot into windows without an issue.
I'm a noob at overclocking and I couldn't find any info about it beyond 2009, so does anyone have any suggestions?
Increase voltage a bit.
The 3rd and 4th core might be faulty. Try unlocking only the third one, run prime95 for ~30 minutes and then unlock the 4th one and start increasing voltage a bit. When it is stable (Doesn't BSOD or crash or anything) then you can do the final check, whole night of Prime95 and you will be done!
But yeah, easier way would be just increasing the voltage.
Including the CPU North Birdge Voltage or just the CPU Voltage?
Because the CPU voltage is now at 0.375V and it's still a no go

Updates:
It will hang even if none of the extra cores are on and the highest voltage avaible, just if the CPU Unlock is set to be enabled
Disable it and it will boot fine
