I'm hype.
Edit: Replace with youtube video.
I hope they show some actual gameplay at E3
Hoping it's fully fleshed out and not like BF1943 (still really fun but not a full fleshed game compared to 1942)

I have a good feeling they will.
I'm just hoping the EA tag won't damn the game. I kinda want this game to work.

It's a main line game, there's no reason to expect 1943 levels of content. What you should be fearing is Battlefront levels of content and depth.

There's a 64 player MP livestream at EA Play, so yes, you'll see plenty of gameplay.

one guy already played the game and said the gameplay is exactly from the trailer. they took the best parts of battlefront's engine (the amazing optimization and post effects) and combined it with the destruction from BF3 alpha.

They will, a 64 player livestream inc youtubers :dogcited:
I hope they give us a beta like hardline
I also thought they weren't going to be a big presence at E3? Instead just having their own event shortly before?

They are having their own event

Video doesn't seem to be working for me. Could someone re-upload it somewhere?
Not going to pre-order but I am getting really excited over this game.

Yes, EA isn't at E3. They're at EA Play which has its conference on the 12th.
That running animation definitely looks like Frostbite Engine
It says the video format or MIME type is not supported :(
Edit: Nevermind, there is a youtube video now.
That running animation definitely looks like Frostbite Engine
How does an animation relate to an engine?
How does an animation relate to an engine?
It's something you notice over the years when you play different games long enough. Different engines handle different ways for animating.
Notice the slight frame jerk in the animation, the smoothness of the gun reload, the speed at which he runs. BF3, BC2, they all have that same series style to it.

WHAT?
Holy shit I think I might need this game then. BF3 alpha destruction with terrain deformation was the shit. There better be some in this game, especially because it's WW1 and that shit had some big explosions that would be fitting in a BF game.

:snip: because I guess I'm wrong.
How does an animation relate to an engine?
It doesn't.

while engine does have some bearing on animation limitations it's mostly the styles of the animation teams that varies between different series

No it isn't? The engine just plays the animations, it doesn't create them or dictate how they look.

Except animations are dictated by the animator and the animation software used to create the animation.
Well shit. I thought parts of engines dictated how animations transitioned between each other. I guess I'm wrong.
My posting is pretty shitty today. I can't seem to reliably post what I want to say. :frown: [sp]Hell I edited this post 3 times and I'm still not satisfied with it.[/sp]
I know that the assets being used for a game isn't made with the game engine.I just can't say what I want to say what an engine is right now for some reason. My brain is just kaput.

was taking a nap, I edited the op with the trailer.
One nitpick: it appears that the British soldiers are using WW2 gas masks with no filters/air

Actual WW2 British gas masks looked like this

He's American. Not that that changes anything regarding the masks. They just didn't want to model the hose moving probably.

Probably wanted "clean and smooth" looking gas masks to look badass for trailers and shit, rather than kinda lumpy like the real WWI masks.
Honestly a gas mask is a gas mask.
