Touch-screens on laptops is a mistake. Every laptop I've had with a touchscreen, I've disabled that function as the very first thing. There's literally no situation where it's either more useful or comfortable than the touch-pad. I'm glad the fad is mostly-dead by now.

I heard its nice for scrolling long webpages, also one of my classmates has one with a stylus and it has come in handy quite often.

Hover-handing against a wobbling screen is never comfortable. For long scrolls, just hold your damn pinky over the down-key and tap it every once in a while instead of sticking your hand up and out to smudge your monitor like a 5-year-old.
If I had to choose between using the touchscreen and the trackpad, I’d pick the touchscreen in many situations. For just navigating around the web it’s really and comfortable and handy on my laptop.

Except for convertibles.

I don't know, perhaps its because i have convertible and light laptops (giant bulky gaming laptops with touchscreens are ridiculous) but touchscreens completely changed how I used laptops. I can't go back.

i cant use a laptop without trying to touch the screen to push buttons and shit, especially when i dont have an external mouse.

i honestly wouldn't bother getting a laptop if it didn't have a touch screen because it would be mostly a work laptop.

Convertibles are another thing. They're half-tablet. Tablets need touchscreens to exist.[QUOTE=Pat.Lithium;52878365]i cant use a laptop without trying to touch the screen to push buttons and shit, especially when i dont have an external mouse.

So wait, you actually lift your entire arm and flail it around to put smudges on your screen and shit when using your laptop instead of just twitching your thumb slightly to get to wherever you want, with hands in a rested position and the rest of the fingers on the keyboard?
