If you were to say something like: "This is a silly idea because religion was invented long ago to give reasoning to the unknown which we now know. Religion is now no longer necessary so this is pointless", then it'd be fine.

Religion causes problems, why would you want to create something that causes problems?
The only kind of worship I think is sensible is sun 'worship' (okay nothing crazy like talking to it but just appreciating it), because it's there, you can damn well see it and it actually does something good. Without it, you would cease to exist.

I worship the god Mojo Bilbo, who shat out the cosmos in the beginning of time.
He has a a wife called Mojo JoJo, who has the body of a supermodel and the head of a kangaroo.
Children of this religion are to have "Bip" precede their name (E.G. Bip Tim Johnson).
When they turn 13, they change "Bip" to "Ding Bong".
We believe in Xenu as well.
