My lord. The armageddon has begun. Call of Bad Company 7.
Dear god, a similar thread was already made and is at the top of the first page, how the hell did you not notice it?
"Now that the team is in control of the games and brands" does this mean CoD1 and 2 quality games again
Funny, EA's getting better and Activisions turning to shit.
Not Possible!
Dear god, a similar thread was already made and is at the top of the first page, how the hell did you not notice it?
I looked and didn't see shit about it, sorry anyway :(
Well fuck me sideways. EA + COD = what.
I looked and didn't see shit about it, sorry anyway :(
actually, it seems to have appeared now..... How stupid i feel now.
"Now that the team is in control of the games and brands" does this mean CoD1 and 2 quality games again
I hope cod1 was the shit. [editline]03:31PM[/editline]
Well fuck me sideways. EA + COD = battlefield warfare
fixed
Well fuck me sideways. EA + COD = what.
Medal of H... oh wait
"now that the team is in control of the games and brands, we can ensure that the fans are treated as well as they deserve."
I knew it was corporate medelling, not infinity ward! I knew it! [editline]10:45PM[/editline] Wow, I just realised. A development team going to EA is... a good thing? [editline]10:49PM[/editline] Also, based on my interpretation, here's what's happened: Call of Duty 4 was a huge success, and Activision wanted control over Infinity Ward Activision forced them to make lots of bad decisions, such as being harsh to PC users (probably to justify a "consoles only" dropping of pc support for their next game.) CEOs of IW weren't happy, and started trying to get out of Activision's hold, as evidenced by Activision saying that they were trying to...
"steal the studio... at the expense of Activision and its shareholders and for their own personal financial gain."
This is extra justified by this quote:
"the move positions the Respawn Entertainment leadership team as the owners of the intellectual property they create"
Oh and the icing on the cake:
"this agreement comes as no surprise to Activision given the myriad of improper activities detailed in the cross-complaint filed on Friday against Jason West and Vince Zampella." - Activision

Lesser of two evils I suppose. Man, I can't even remember why everyone was mad at EA.
Pushing Mercenaries 2 out the door, myriad of worthless "EA SPORTS" titles, and lots of potentially awesome games that were suspected to have been pushed out the door due to corporate meddling. They seem to have stopped that now, or maybe they're just nicer to bigger devs like dice.
SecuRom DRM. That's why EA was considered the devil. Good thing they wised up. This'll certainly help their rep.
Yea, and the fact EA murdered the C&C series, cremated it, then pissed on the ashes.
Oh okay. I guess I have video-game publisher specific Alzheimer's.
medal of honor devs leave EA, form IW, sign with activision, make best selling game of all time, get fired, form respawn entertainment, sign with EA what
infinity ward is crumbling from within. two other long term employees left after theese two. i sense an imminent corporate faceplant.
CALL OF HONOR 7: MODERN WARBORNE Actually no.
CALL OF HONOR 7: MODERN WARBORNE Actually no.
Medal of Duty 4: Modern Company 2.5
