So many people around where I live still have dial-up, or have no access to any kind of internet other than 3G modems or whatever. I only have wireless doing 90KB/s down, but sometime soon we're going to bring fiber down our road and pay for a pole as well.
This is great for bringing broadband to rural areas where laying fibre cables is not financially viable

There already IS satelite internet.
The problem was, is and always will be the UPLOAD, not the download.
And I don't see new satelites solving that problem.
To think only a few years ago I was using Dial up.
Now internet in space.

In theory this'll allow more people to be connected to the internet via satellite links.
Besides this is also meant for people living in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, so they can join the internet party :dance:
