Nobody is really claiming it is revolutionary except for hype-mongers but it is a fair contribution to the video game industry and procedural generation tech.

Oh okay, how about at least one of the people that disagree with the statement explain to me why this isn't a fair contribution to procedural generation tech and even the game industry? Maybe I'm mistaken in thinking that some of the methods explained in this video haven't been done before at least on this scale.
So, what can you do in this game except exploring? Whenever I see a video talking about this game, we only see more of those procedural planets or animals but not much about actual gameplay.

So there is combat and crafting and such. One of my biggest fears though is that it all feels kinda empty. Don't know if there will be enough to do to get or keep people interested.

Yeah that fear is what is keeping me from preordering; if it were like 30-40 bucks i'd have preordered right away, but it's $80 CAD, so even though I'm pretty hyped I'm still waiting for reviews.
Looks like its going to get boring after 5 minutes. The procedural generation is nothing more than palette swaps. Looks awful to me, it is as if there is nothing to do in the whole game.

Well I disagree. Most know absolutely nothing about this game due to how horribly it has been promoted, so there is plenty reason to be wary. Yet I believe it's a very much wait and see situation, it may pull off what it claims, but you don't lose out on anything by NOT preordering. I wouldn't go full shill here like Hybrid though.

I just wish it wasn't 60 dollars considering how low key they're keeping everything. I personally don't feel that it's worth dropping that much money on an extremely vague game.
That being said I think it LOOKS fantastic and I love exploration games, but I hope there's lots more to it.

I've been following the game for 4 years and it's less than 2 months away, so even if there is a chance of huge disappointment, I'm still excited. If you can't handle a few facepunch posts then by all means add me to your ignore list.

There is an artbook as a pre-order bonus, though I'm hoping we'll be able to purchase it through other means.
