Hello, Im buying a new Gaming rig for my home in Costa rica.. We have many power outages and stuff for like 3 seconds blackout then back on for about 2-3 times a day depending if its raining.. Maybe more maybe less. Ok so, I will be gaming on this PC no important work or stuff i need to keep safe.. But im wondering if with these power outages will hurt the computer or does windows always safely shut down your computer when it goes of instantly.. Will i need a UPS or no? I really dont want to get one if i dont have to..
PS: If i need one Give me a ldea of which one should i get for a 600w power supply for running about 1:30seconds of battery power just to safely shut it down.
Power outages can very well mess with your internals under certain circumstances. You really should get an UPS
