It's unlike any show that's been on T.V. It's a more real life feel to it and more subtle jokes, while being hilarious. You should try watching some episodes; it's on every weeknight from 9 to 10 pm eastern time on adult swim. You might find it kind of slow at first, but King of the Hill is the type of show that grows on you the more you watch it. Main Characters Hank Hill His biggest passions include moving his law, supporting his country, and of course selling propane and propane acessires. He is a big believer in tradition and family values. He tries to live hardworking, wholesome life, but often this is interpreted by problems caused his friends/neighbors/coworkers ect. He has a narrow urethra. Peggy Hill Hank's wife, a substitute teacher and columnist. She thinks very highly of herself, though she can be quite clueless at times. Bobby Hill Hank's son. As Hank is often saying, "That boy ain't right." Hank is often is worried about his "normalcy" (lack of athleticism, his desire to be a comedian). Luanne Hank's niece, who lives with the Hills after her mom was sent to prison. She often annoys Hank, but he has grown to accept her as a family member. Dale Gribble One of Hank's friends, an exterminator. He is a a constantly parionod consperasy theorist. (He also happens to be my favorite character.) Bill Dauterive Another of Hank's friends, he is overweight, divorced, and often depressed. Boomhaur. Yeah man, I'll tell you about that dang ol’ Boomhaur man he's friend a Hank's talk about about' fast cars, and ol' women, real dang ol' cool, man. Others In addition to these, there a dozens of other recurring characters including Hank's Laotian neighbors the Souphanousinphones, Hanks boss and coworkers, Dale's family, a Native American named John Redcorn, Bobby's friends at school, the jazz musician Chuck Mangione, and many more. Well, that's it for now. yep...
Too bad it has be replaced with The Cleveland Show.
Too bad it has be replaced with The Cleveland Show.
Yeah I know, I was pissed. At least it had a good run, with 13 seasons.
This show pissed me off. Well, Hank did. Not sure why. He just......did.
I was playing Modern Warfare 2 splitscreen at my friend's house one day with him and his little brother. It was a tac knife match and I had the riot shield with marathon. I just kept running and each time I got stabbed in the shield on my back I would do this BAAAAHHAAAAAA
I like Futurama and Family Guy the best.
I love this show. It rarely comes on where I live. Well, I shouldn't say that, it's on every night, but what I mean is that it's on so late that I can't watch it on school nights.

When I was younger I never really got into watching this. I've watched a few episodes and liked them, haven't made it into a ritual to watch it though. Plus, it's strange that Hank and Peggy remind me of my step grandfather and my grandmother.
I grew up with this. I always enjoyed watching it. It wasn't too action-y it was a nice slow show to watch every now and then. One of the best shows in history no doubt. Oh and when Peggy speaks Spanish she doesn't know what shes saying right? I remember a few times she'll have subtitles but its even better when you know the language and hear what she says.
I started watching this after hearing about it getting cancelled, one of the better animated sitcoms.
Hank is the perfect American.
I grew up on a farm in a real rinky-dink rural part of the midwest. This show pretty perfectly nailed the culture, the ideals, everything. Yes, greatly exaggerated, but still damn close to hitting it right on the head. Also there's propane in my urethra
Was waiting for this thread to come. Thanks dude. Have a derp Hank face.
I used to watch it every night on adult swim with my last roommate, it's one of the best and I can't think of a bad episode.

Truth is, Dale and Boomhauer are the best characters from the show.

Can someone make this into a avatar? I tried to but it won't move.
Truth is, Dale and Boomhauer are the best characters from the show.
I kind of don't even care about Boomhauer. He's mostly a two-dimensional character - not a lot of development.
I watched this when I was a kid but I didn't really get most of the jokes until I was older. Like I assumed as a kid that the creator of the show must be exactly like Hank, and didn't realize that the writing kinda mocks Hank half the time.
I kind of don't even care about Boomhauer. He's mostly a two-dimensional character - not a lot of development.
How can you not care about Boomhaur. He's hilarious. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxaymnZgTSM
I kind of don't even care about Boomhauer. He's mostly a two-dimensional character - not a lot of development.
That's just it : So far since the begining of the serie, he's the only character that has never changed personality once. Everytime you see Boomhauer giving his two cents, you can't help but crack up a smile.
Best portrait of American life on television.
I found that song Chuck Mangione always used to play on the show. Puts me in a good mood whenever I hear it.
I love this show but I can easily see how most people wouldn't like it at first. I can't really find a way to describe the humor in this show, but it's usually you either enjoy it or you don't. It's mostly subtle and hardly up front comedy. Most of the characters you just gotta love for who they are instead of being annoyed by them, like Hank in real life would come across as a thick headed Texan but in the show his stereotypes make him funny. Anyways my point being it's hardly like most other shows on T.V., but that certainly doesn't mean it's bad. Have some vidya; Hank is definitely my favorite character in the entire show. Dale is hilarious but I love Hank the most. His obsession with mowing his lawn, how passionate he is about propane and his truck, and of course his narrow urethra. [editline]19th September 2011[/editline] Oh yeah and DurhamRockerz is the best YTPer for this show.
I can't believe how right this show is.
the ocean? what ocean? -it's a landlocked country in southeast asian inbetween vietnam and thailand okay? population 4.7 million? -so are you chinese or japanese?
I saw "Weird Al" Yankovic in concert a few days ago. Between songs, he'd play videos that he's made/starred in/been referenced in while he and the band change costumes. This was one of them, and I laughed until I cried.
