Adam Harvey Launches Stealth Wear, an Anti-Drone Clothing Line
He chose fashion as a medium. “Stealth Wear,” a new clothing range made in collaboration with designer Johanna Bloomfield, offers protection from thermal-imaging surveillance used by drones. The garments are made with a lightweight, flexible metallized fabric that uses fibers to reflect heat and conceal the wearer’s thermal signature. They are also lined with silk, which contributes to their flowy effect when worn...
...“People see it as technology they can use in their own way,” Harvey said. “It interests people on the far right as much as it interests people on the far left. Ultra-conservatives see it as anti-government and ultra-liberals see it as anti-military.”
way pricey, but a cool concept nonetheless.

you're not serious are you?
it looks like an upside down asda bag spray painted silver, stitched to the top half of a hoodie.
edit: read into it further, he says it prevents thermal imaging, but only half of a hoodie? it looks more of a way to earn money than being an activist.

Fashion is too deep for you, you wouldn't get it.

i was referring the the functionality rather than the fashion.
i agree the item looks pretty terrible, but it's still a cool concept.
I doubt anyone currently worrying about drone strikes could afford these anyway.
I can sorta get the concept, the tinfoil hat of the twenty first century, but all the designs look terrible.

A non-retarded picture
[editline]7th March 2013[/editline]
Well still retarded but not misleading
A better question is: Is it even rainproof?

I understand to controversy about drones, but making tin foil clothing? Really?
Give it a few minutes, and they'll show up on thermal. Same bollocks they tell in every army, that our standard-issue clothes are thermal-proof.
Reminds me of the dudes who were selling that magic bomb detecting wand to third-world countries.

:tinfoil:
The future is now!
I'm sure drone controllers are going to be really confused by the people wearing binbags.
great let's make people even more paranoid because the media obviously isn't doing a good enough job with that already
Then criminals get their hands on them and use them to evade police helicopters.
Yes this is a fantastic idea.

This guy's normal jacket is as effective and he's probably been wearing it for longer than the model which means more body heat buildup.

a lot more cheaper than the stealth war
So, garbage bags are fashionable now?
