Hello guys, I am just posting here to see if any of you guys write songs..
If you do, do you follow a structure like verse-chorus-verse-bridge-chorus-verse?
Or do you just write as they come to you?
Any general tips would be helpful. I did check to see if there was a similar active thread and there wasn't, thanks guys.

None of it is songwriting.. If you actually look it's about people who have finished songs and are adding instruments or looking advice - yet, I just need advice on songwriting. I'll take any help. I've finished a few songs myself but they follow no structure, just my own.
Uh it actually is songwriting too? you'd be better off asking there, though i'm sure there may be people here who will help also
Stream of thought writing is the best writing.
Don't structure or plan out a song, just write. If you structure a song before you write it you're limiting yourself to fit that criteria, if you just write you might write a lot more than intended and could be a great song.
