Another Art house film?
Willem Dafoe writes better than I do.
Watch it be something really stupid at the end of the movie.
For some reason, all I can think of is Nier.
I don't want to see Willem Dafoe in sex scenes ever again after watching Antichrist.
Looks cool
10 bucks the ending is just the clock going from 4:43 to 4:44. And then just "End". Because artsy fartsy people like that shit.
And then people like you will going "omg there wasn't an explosion on the end!! i waited 90 minutes for this??"
More like. "I watched 90 minutes of this, the least thing I want is some sort of explanation over what is even going on, and not just vague words and sentences." Doesn't have to be an explosion, nor a groundbreaking CGI marvel, just something that shows the audience it's over.

I don't know if the film goes into detail in regards to how to world is about to end, but does it really matter?
10 bucks the ending is just the clock going from 4:43 to 4:44. And then just "End". I kind of agree with him. Ambiguity is a nice touch to many films but in a case like this where the ENTIRE movie is based around the premise of "What would you do with your last day on Earth" it would be a huge waste of time for nothing to happen. But at the same time you could flip-flop the premise and show how mass-hysteria and panic for an impending doom that will never arrive could be just as bad as an apocalypse, since we are going to have our own fake apocalypse this year anyways and it would be neat to see how folks react.

The film is about what you would do with your last day on earth, what happens after that is not relevant.
10$ he's going to kill himself out of fear, the clock will strike 4:45, and the movie will end
I can't tell if it's a comedy or a suspenseful thriller. Needs a talking animal.
Uhh...so how does anyone in the movie even know something's gonna happen at 4:44? Nothing was said about how everyone just started knowing everyone's gonna die then.
Uhh...so how does anyone in the movie even know something's gonna happen at 4:44? Nothing was said about how everyone just started knowing everyone's gonna die then.
Obviously they'll find out. They just didn't want to say specifically in this trailer.
if an entire movie is based around the premise of "the world's about to end" then i want to see the fucking world end ambiguity is overrated [editline]4th March 2012[/editline] anyways there's probably gonna be lots of these this year
I don't want to see Willem Dafoe in sex scenes ever again after watching Antichrist.
Decided to lookup what you were talking about. :suicide:
if an entire movie is based around the premise of "the world's about to end" then i want to see the fucking world end ambiguity is overrated
The movie isn't about "the world's gonna end", it's about "what would you do if the world is going to end soon", how it ends isn't relevant here.
but the primary framing device is "end of the world" therefore, it's relevant
but the primary framing device is "end of the world" therefore, it's relevant
This is going to be about human interactions when everyone is supposed to share the same fate not about "end of the world, everything is exploding". This clearly won't be a movie for you. Go watch 2012.
but the primary framing device is "end of the world" therefore, it's relevant
No, the primary framing devices is "people during the last day on earth".
What's with all the end of the world movies lately? Are filmmakers everywhere realizing that their movies will sell no matter what happens because of all the 2012 hysteria?
Watch it be something really stupid at the end of the movie.
Like it was a dream thought up by a child or something....that's the worst outcome i could ever think of doing to something.
