• Graphics card fried?

I must know if i require a new graphics card, because my computer has been blue screened a lot, along with a bunch of colour stripes on the screen and weird colours, and on startup all the letters go spazzing too.
It is more than likely fried but you could try reseating the graphics card or getting rid of the dust with compressed air or something similar.
Download HW monitor and look at your teperatures. If they are all below 60 download Furmark and run it for 10 minutes while logging gpu temp. Post the results here.
Remove the heatsink and put it in the oven. It'll resolder the connections, and the GPU'll work again. Make sure it's the GPU that's at fault first, though. (And make sure to properly clean your oven before cooking any food in it)
Nothing is above 60 and i can't even see the graphics card on that program.
Then the GPU is, more than likely, broken. Just to be sure, download DriverSweeper and do a full *GPU Brand Here* cleanout (In safe mode) then install the latest drivers for it.

Annyways dont put it in the oven until you are absolutly sure its broken. Reseat your gpu and check if the fans are working.

I have an 8800gts. Or had at least.
8600/8800 was known for overheating
