It's to keep you from being some virus carrier who infects people who ARE at risk.

My mother got guillain-barre over the summer, funny thing about the syndrome is that it can just randomly happen to you so, I claim this vaccine is fine. Guillain-barre can happen to anyone of you. The chances are slim but you never know.
