[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x4vO2GRnlFc[/hd] Personally it looks pretty lame, what do you guys think?
I think it looks great
It looks okay, to make a great movie out of something like this it would need a hollywood size budget. Something asian films seem to never get.
It looks decent, I suppose
How can they make a live action movie when they havent even finished the anime yet
What's changed or not addressed in the movie is that there is a dominance of European occasions. Which is expected, but it doesn't feel right, like you need to show fear and hopelessness mixed with fast melee combat, and that's the shell with the inside being a conspiracy.
How can they make a live action movie when they havent even finished the anime yet
they can leave it off with plugging the wall or ehh find what's in the wall.
What was that earlier in the video? It looked like a live-action Nausicaa, what with the God Warriors holding spears, marching at the camera and blowing shit up. I don't see why you'd do a live action version of a movie Miyazaki did, but I'd watch it...
How can they make a live action movie when they havent even finished the anime yet
well it's a manga.
i really need to get into attack on titan. my girlfriend is super into it and i think it's interesting but haven't watched it at all yet.
i really need to get into attack on titan. my girlfriend is super into it and i think it's interesting but haven't watched it at all yet.
It's a show you can really get into even if you're one of those people that hate anime because anime. All my friends watch it and the only other anime they know about is DBZ
All my friends watch it and the only other anime they know about is DBZ
"watch it"? It's literally 25 episodes, if you "watch it" and haven't finished by now you're not exactly into it.
My brother pointed out something interesting, that is, isn't Mikasa supposed to be the last asian or something? I guess they're overlooking some of the lore
If done like the Parasyte movies, it could be done. However most live action adaptations of anime suck balls.
Why do Japanese TV shows always have even worse overlays than Twitch streamers?
Why do Japanese TV shows always have even worse overlays than Twitch streamers?
A lot of these movies based on anime are equivalent to B movies. They are made on a shoe string budget because they generally are hitting a niche market.
A lot of these movies based on anime are equivalent to B movies.
"watch it"? Further more, why do you care?
My brother pointed out something interesting, that is, isn't Mikasa supposed to be the last asian or something? I guess they're overlooking some of the lore
Yeah it's set in Germany I think.
The first few shots were from Evangelion, not the Attack on Titan movie. (just in case anyone got confused). Even though there were only like 2 seconds of footage, I thought it looked nice enough. Im interested to see how it turns out, but im not holding my breath though
Looks like it has potential, though they didn't show much. The CG effects look better than what I usually expect from Japanese adaptation movies. I really like the design aesthetic, though. The walls look way more believable and the towns/buildings are more ragged and less polished than the ones in the original. It's a more believable setting for a small civilization that has apparently only been walled into that area for around a hundred years. I always thought it was weird that even the outermost cities, which were probably built more recently than the innermost cities, looked like they were long-standing architecture from a lot longer than just a hundred years ago.
If done like the Parasyte movies, it could be done. However most live action adaptations of anime suck balls.
Wasn't the live-action adaptation of Rurouni Kenshin really good?
Wait, people turn into titans?
It's established in the first part of the anime that Eren can turn into a titan, and from that it's implied that all of the special titans are also people.
It looks okay, to make a great movie out of something like this it would need a hollywood size budget. I mean, Pacific Rim was a neat film, but I dunno if Attack on Titan is a thing close to his heart.
It's established in the first part of the anime that Eren can turn into a titan, and from that it's implied that all of the special titans are also people.
yeah fuck spoiler discretion and all that
How can they make a live action movie when they havent even finished the anime yet
Besides the manga (which is still ongoing and having series context changing plot twists literally almost every other chapter lately), films like these tend to usually encapsulate only a portion of the overall story. Or, in the case of the Death Note movies, change elements entirely that lead to an overall different conclusion altogether.
