• Westboro Baptist church gets their asses fucking chased out of tornado damaged town.
Members of the Westboro Baptist Church showed up at Central Junior High School in Moore., Okla., on Sunday to picket -- but the people of Moore were not having it. As the hate group waved their trademark "God Hates Fags" signs in the rain, hundreds of people lined up across the road to stand together against WBC. Moore was hit by a deadly tornado last year, and the school has been housing Plaza Towers Elementary students since the natural disaster. On their website, WBC explained that they believe the tornado was an example of "God's wrath." Amanda Eccles said to KFOR-TV, “It’s just sickening. You know, it’s just innocent kids that lost lives and it’s sickening for them to even think that way.” Though WBC reportedly had a permit to picket for half an hour beginning at 2:00 p.m., they stayed for a mere eight minutes before hastily getting into their cars and driving away when Moore residents began to cross the picket lines. Police intervened to separate the protestors and counter-protestors as the WBC rushed to leave.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/07/westboro-baptist-church-moore-oklahoma_n_5104904.html

That is pretty fucking great
One of these days they are gonna picket the wrong place and just get shot.
Who cares about free speech right?
Who cares about free speech right?
Free speech =/= Hate speech. There is a reason why these guys are banned from entering Canada.
Who cares about free speech right?
You are free to say what you will. Other are free to respond as they will to your speech.
Who cares about free speech right?
You're the reason people like this can keep doing what they're doing.
Who cares about free speech right?
Wow! this is crazy, I've never before seen someone who's avatar worked as a perfect reaction image to their post!
Who cares about free speech right?
disagreeing with the WBC and protesting against them is also free speech at work, fyi
You are free to say what you will. Other are free to respond as they will to your speech.
Yup. They have the right to spew whatever drivel they want to, as long as other people have the right to beat the tar out of them in return, which is the only way that kind of arrangement can work.
You are free to say what you will. Other are free to respond as they will to your speech.
No they're not. You can't threaten violence and attempt to storm a picket line just because you're offended. If that was the case, then would you be OK with me and my pals storming the next Tea Party rally?
I'm just wondering what will happen when a disaster destroys their church. Will the WBC protest themselves?
Who cares about free speech right?
It's pretty clear that they are doing this for the sake of provocation. If you can see the westboro baptist church, you can rest assured there's a camera pointed at you and making sure you get your ass hauled off to court in case you do something illegal towards them.
Who cares about free speech right?
Except they weren't forced out of their protest by government intervention. They probably felt threatened by the counter-protestors and left due to that. Plus, like will be said many more times in this thread, you have the right to say what you want, but you don't have the right to be exempt from backlash for saying what you want.
I'm just wondering what will happen when a disaster destroys their church. Will the WBC protest themselves?
"God hates us"
Who cares about free speech right?
I'll send them and Mormons to your house. Tell me how you feel after that :~)
Who cares about free speech right?
Yeah you're right. HEY EVERYBODY! I LOVE HITLER! HE'S JUST A STANDUP GUY EH?
Who cares about free speech right?
Do you really think that people who lost their family and friends in a natural disaster are going to care about free speech when someone comes up to them and says they got what they deserved?
It's pretty clear that they are doing this for the sake of provocation. Even so, if that were the case then why did they run off so quickly? You'd think that they would want to be beat up a little so they could make their lawsuit, correct? These people are sincere in their beliefs.
Except they weren't forced out of their protest by government intervention. The government, state and federal, has thankfully upheld the WBC's right to protest (bar a few cases).
If these guys came to my town I would just picket across the street from them with signs that say "SATAN LOVES THE WBC"
would you be OK with me and my pals storming the next Tea Party rally?
Yes?
"God hates us"
god hates everybody but us and is telling us we failed to tell you all that you suck [editline]e[/editline] god hates explosions (((the user)))
I'm amazed that someone hasn't shot at them yet, they've caused a lot of grief and pain to those that are hurt. Still, the best way to handle trolls, both online and in real life, is to ignore them, soon they won't have a purpose and will just quit entirely.
snip.
Who cares about free speech right?
Yeah except, you know, the whole fact that the wbc is legally defined as a hate group?

Didn't a mob of people try to break into their car while they were trying to make a getaway?
Who cares about free speech right?
Please, let someone close to you die and i want you to be 100% okay with these people coming to say, your mother's funeral, saying it was gods will that she was killed because fags or something.
Yes?
So you support using violence and intimidation to silence the opposition? Wow.
Then the Government are as dumb as the WBC for allowing something like that in the first place, amendment be damned.
Lol "fuck their rights."
