now looking at the OP, it's not much about "Folk" music at all. Seems you're interested in Soviet era songs.

cool, I myself have no idea what type of songs were in that era, probably anthems and such.
Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield has a section near the end of Part One, around 16:25, titled "Russian". It's meant to sound Russian, obviously.
